Four : Degenerate

Taehyung woke up hearing a thud. His eyes violently opened, blurred with drowsiness. He sighed, realising his hand sleepily toppled the glass kept on the nightstand.

His eyes slowly adjusted to the warm lights of sun washed over the room. He sat on his bed for a while, trying to get rid of his lethargy.

Realizing the nakedness, his mind went back to the moments of last night. He, not even in his dreams, expected the things to turn out this tragic.

He checked the time and breathed out, it was past eight in the morning. He'll probably find a sullen jungkook in the hall or kitchen. If not there, then study room. Jungkook will ignore him until he flatters him to speak.

Taehyung smiled hopefully, he's good in flattering. Especially when it comes to jungkook.

He sauntered into the bathroom and readied himself, wearing one of jungkook's loose shirt and cotton shorts as his husband prefers him wearing his clothes more.

He airily glanced at the cloak while dabbing some facial serum to his face.

09:00 am

His eyes slightly widened, jungkook must be waiting for the break fast as he refuses to eat if they're not having it together. He hastily applied his cherry lip balm and rushed out of his room.

"Morning Mr. Kim" Mano's voice was immediately heard when he reaches the dining table. "Shall i serve your breakfast?"

His eyes wandered, towards kitchen and the hall. Nowhere jungkook was found.
Taehyung shook his head a little, study room for sure.

"Wait mano, i'll just call jungkook---" Taehyung casually speaks, already turning on his heels to leave but mano's voice halts him.

"But Mr. Jeon already left to office" Mano's voice was hesitant, confused why taehyung doesn't know about it. 

Taehyung for a second was dazed, he left. His eyes stared at mano confusedly, "oh"

"Did h-he had breakfast?" His voice was barely audible, heavy with dejection.

"No, i insisted but he just refused and left" Mano replied in a soft voice, guessing something problematic is going on between the couple but she doesn't ask about it, not wanting to interfere in their personal issues.

"Okay" Taehyung pursed his lips, slowly turning away.

He left without saying anything!? Is he that upset!?

Of course he is upset... You ruined his all mood.

He was taken back from his thoughts when he heard mano speak, "Mr. Kim, should i serve the breakfast?"

Taehyung shook his head, "No. I'm sorry i should've said this to you earlier."

"No, It's alright" Mano couldn't help but frown in concern, then shortly walking back to the kitchen.

Taehyung sighs out his heartache and makes his way back to his room. He grabs his phone and calls his husband, but the line was dead. Switched off.

His lips started quivering but he quickly pressed it together, shrugging his shoulder and telling himself to not overthink. It's his jungkook, he'll be right back to him. Where else?

A gentle voice made jungkook turn his head, immediately a smile broadening over his mouth. She was waving her hand at him, gesturing to walk her way.
