Seventeen : End

"Taehyung?"

The voice was startling for taehyung, flinching and then blinking the tears off his eyes. He took time to wipe his face, not trusting his voice to respond. He slides the papers under his pillow and quickly hastened to open his room door.

He brought a small strained smile on his face for greeting yoongi who's hand was up in air, probably in attempt to knock the door.

Yoongi straightened himself, hesitant for a moment. "uh i just wanted to talk to you, if that's okay"

Taehyung nodded his head, "Yes, sure"

Yoongi pressed his lips, "i'll be in the hall"

Taehyung inhaled a deep breath as yoongi walked away, he took a glance back at his bed. Towards the divorce papers he hid below the pillow.

As he reached the hall, he saw yoongi pouring water on a glass. He looked up at him and smiled, then settled himself on the couch, eyes inviting him to take a seat.

"I knocked a few times, i got worried when you didn't open the door" Yoongi had said when taehyung sat on the couch.

"I... I was in bathroom, didn't hear" Taehyung lied. Obviously he can't say he was crying over the signed divorce papers for past few hours.

"I didn't want to bother--"

"There's no bother hyung" He quickly said, making yoongi to smile softly.

Yoongi licked his lips, "I can't talk to you calmly if jimin is here, he gets extra defensive as you know"

Taehyung smiled at his defeated voice, probably that is why he asked jimin to fetch nivi from the preschool, when usually it's his everyday thing.

He glanced at yoongi when the silence prolonged, "What is it hyung?"

"I want to talk about jungkook"

His breath struck, a bit surprised to hear jungkook's name from him. There was no mention about him since the day he entered in min mansion. It was like a agreement to make him comfortable.

Yoongi panicked a little seeing the younger's eyes getting teared up, "i know it's uncomfortable but i just--i just wanted to know your thoughts"

"We can talk whenever you feel okay..."

"No... it's okay hyung" Taehyung gulped hard, "i can't avoid it everytime"

Yoongi looks down, "I'm not going to speak anything which will defend jungkook, what he did is unforgivable and will always be. . . but whatever it is taehyung, i think he deserves to know about his baby"

He hears the small snivelling from taehyung, making his heart ache as he adds, "I know it's not my place to say anything about it... i'm j-just letting you know what i think"

"I know" Taehyung whispers, "I'm ready to let him know, hyung"

This is unavoidable, no matter what. He can't hide from jungkook all his life. Can't escape from the pain that awaits him.

Yoongi nods in relief, "You can tell me when i should let him kno--"

"No hyung... I'll tell him" Taehyung cuts him off quickly.

It didn't sound agreeable to yoongi, "Will you be okay?"

"Yes" Taehyung said before wiping his eyes, his heart sinking in trepidation, "Just tell me when i should meet him, i'll be ready"

Yoongi took time to respond, "Okay, i'll let you know"

The older held out the glass of water to taehyung who slowly took it and gulped it gratefully.
