Forty eight : Downfall

There was a constant beep sound which gave a vibrant sensation to his ears and suppressing out every other sounds. His face slowly taking a frown, eyes squeezing shut more as jungkook try to stir up in his position.

He slowly open his sticky eyelids, closing it instantly at the bright light. Blinking several times that too very slowly to clear the vision of the plain white walls, the beeping sounds now loud which gives him headache.

He could feel the numb sensation dominating his whole body, giving a paralyzed effect.

With a lot of strain, he moves his eyes, wanting to see something other than the white walls and now sees the multiple digital machines, he doesn't know what all of it was but knew its the source of those aching sounds.

His blurry vision also captures two figures wearing white coats near the monitor.

Jungkook close his eyes in ache as his throat was dry, feeling a need to hydrate it. That's when he feels the suffocation on his face which is trapped on to something which he a moment later realises as the ventilation mask which gave him enough help to breath steadily till now.

Before thinking of clearing his blurry vision, he moved his hands which were not really following his demand as his body was too weak to make a move.

He tried again, desperate to get rid of the suffocation and his movements gained the attention of the doctor.

"Jeon?"

His eyes dart to the source of the voice, looking at hoseok's unclear figure with his droopy eyes.

Hoseok felt his discomfort and immediately helped to remove the mask, letting him breath the air by his own. Jungkook's nose scrunch up at the pungent antiseptic smell, dominating the hospital room.

"Hyung" His voice barely came out while hoseok helped him to sit up though he was insisting to lay but the younger didn't comply.

"Take deep breaths, okay? Do you feel dizzy?" Hoseok instructs, his voice evident of his worry.

Though jungkook was feeling like his head is spinning, still he shook his head in response.

"Nurse" Hoseok called out for the nurse and she was quick to understand as she nods and hand him the water of glass.

Hoseok supports jungkook by holding onto his shoulders and gently makes the younger lean back to the headboard.

Jungkook's eyes dart everywhere, which blinks constantly. He was feeling himself senseless, not in a state to think of something properly--too confound of the surrounding.

Hoseok hands him the glass of water and jungkook was quick to grab on it, forgetting his weak self which made the glass slip off from his hand and fall onto the floor to shatter in pieces, moreover his haste movement was too added onto not help him to keep a hold.

Jungkook yelps at the cackling noise, hands covering his ears with his body shivering violently. Hoseok gazes at the younger's reaction in stagger, noticing the evident symptom as he gulps and instructs the nurse to call the janitor to clean up the broken glasses on the tiled floor.

Grabbing another glass of water, hoseok gently places his hand on the younger's shoulder who flinch but calms down eventually.

"Jungkook, its alright. Here" Hoseok softly says and this time he doesn't hand him the glass but instead makes him drink and the younger was quick to gulp it down, his throat feeling better to be moistened.

Jungkook eyes fix at the distance in a daze, lips quivering and hands shaking. He could hear hoseok saying something to the nurse which he didn't care to pay attention as his mind was blacking out.
