Sunlight shone through the shattered, blood-tinted car windows, causing cracks of light to cover the inside of the vehicle.
Seokjin sheltered his eyes from the sunbeams with the back of his filthy, dirt-covered, hand, trying to clear his thoughts before turning to look at his brothers.
Namjoon, Yoongi and Jimin, all flat out asleep, in the same positions they were sat in the night before. Although, this time, they didn't seem quite as relaxed. Each of them laid, tense and rigid, in their seats, with dark bags under their eyes.
Seokjin rubbed the side of his head, slowly becoming aware of the dull, aching, pain in his temples. He looked around again, confused, trying to put together the fragmented memories of the previous night.
"Jimin, get back, be careful! Yoongi, stay with him! Do not leave each other's side!" Seokjin was taking down some of the dead as Namjoon yelled out to the other group members. "Jungkook, fall back, it's no use. Do not let them get too close!"
The boys were trying desperately to kill all the monsters that were swarming them. After the dead had broken the glass in the car windows, the men had no choice but to get out and fight them. The only problem was that there was too many and Namjoon was panicking about their safety. They had run out of ammo and were down to using hand-held tools. The dead were way too close and they were too exhausted. It was not going well, to put it lightly.
"Hyung, help me!" Seokjin heard Taehyung cry out from behind him. His voice sounded strained as if he was hurt or something.
The loud, ragged, breaths ripping through his throat made it clear he needed his inhaler but had no way of getting it. He was surrounded by at least a dozen dead ones and was struggling to fight back as they snapped their drooling jaws at him.
"Hyung... please!" Taehyung begged, trembling cries following his voice.
Seokjin smacked the head off of the monster in front of him before sprinting over to his younger brother. He used a hammer, that he had managed to reach from the boot of the car after his pistol ran out of bullets, to hack away the swarm of dead surrounding his brother.
Taehyung was still hopelessly swinging a machete around, quickly running out of energy, stumbling back. Seokjin managed to clear a gap in the crowd to pull Taehyung away just before he fell right into the arms of one of the dead. He slipped his arm around the younger's waist and threw his arm over his shoulder, just as he started to fall to the ground. He could hear the ragged, violent, wheezing still tearing through the young boy's throat. He made sure his hold was firm around him and rushed him back to the car.
The window was smashed but he'd be safer in there than outside. Seokjin opened the door and placed the younger in the backseat, grabbing his inhaler from the back of the front seat, placing it in his shaky hand before slamming the door and defending it from the dead.
"Just hang in there, Tae," Seokjin tried to comfort the boy as much as he could before turning his attention back to the chaos outside.
"Yoongi!" He heard Jimin's little cry, he sounded weak and scared, but he wasn't able to do anything because he had quickly been surrounded again. "Where are you? I can't do this!"
Seokjin cringed at hearing his brother cry out like that. He just wished there was a lot more than one of him, that way he could have helped them all. Instead, he just had to pray that everyone would be okay.
"Jiminie, I'm here!" Yoongi was yelling back but Seokjin couldn't see anyone, not anyone alive anyway. "Hold on, baby!"
"Jin hyung!" Namjoon's voice rang out, close by. Seokjin, while still taking the monsters down, looked and saw his brother working his way over to help him. "Where's Tae?"
