"I don't know what to do, Namjoon," Seokjin sighed truthfully to the leader, watching as Yoongi paced up and down the left side of the road. He was only just dodging the parked cars as he stormed around, angrily breathing toxic smoke into his lungs. Seokjin didn't mean to kick off at the younger, he was just scared and stressed out of his mind. He had no idea what to do, he didn't know what would be the best course of action. He never did and yet his younger brothers always looked to him for reassurance. The idea of letting them down killed him inside. He didn't mean for his emotions to attack Yoongi, it just... Happened. "I'm really feeling like I'm really failing all of you, here. I should be protecting you and all I can seem to do is scream at you."
Namjoon just shook his head, sitting down on the muddy ground next to his older brother, in the middle of the two roads, following his gaze. They were meant to be keeping watch but neither seemed too bothered, which wasn't really that smart.
"We're going to be okay, hyung. We are all doing the best we can. No one was prepared to live this kind of life. We'll get where we need to be, just like we always do. The thing we need to focus on, though, is killing those dead things and not each other." Namjoon told the elder with a small, but harmless, chuckle.
"What if we're not okay? What if he's not? What if Jimin or Tae...?" Seokjin asked, ignoring him, in a desperate, sad, tone; looking in Yoongi's direction as he kicked the ground in rage.
Yoongi had taken himself away from the group, not wanting anyone's company. He was angry at Hoseok for not letting him comfort Jimin. He was furious at himself for the reason why Hoseok didn't let him. He was just pacing up and down the road, kicking the ground, hoping that chain-smoking the cigarettes would either calm him down or knock him out. Though, that neither seemed to be happening, despite the violent coughs ripping apart his throat.
"We're going to be okay," Namjoon repeated, making sure Seokjin knew he was serious. The elder looked at him, his expression was unsure. Namjoon just gave him a warm, reassuring smile, nudging his shoulder in a somewhat comforting way. "I believe in us. After all, aren't we Bangtan?"
"Jiminie?" Hoseok smiled, his voice soft as the boy's eyes darted around the caravan in confusion. "Hey, you're okay. Yeah?"
"Hmm?" The tiny boy hummed, rubbing his eyes with the back of his clenched fist. His eyebrows were scrunched into a small frown and his lips sat in a pout.
Jimin had fallen asleep again, not long after Yoongi and Seokjin walked out, being too exhausted to even try and work out what was going on. Hoseok had just sat on the floor, next to the couch, quietly waiting for him to awaken. But Jimin was startled by some noise outside, that Hoseok had brushed off as the closing of a car door, and had jolted up into a rigid sitting position.
"Jimin, buddy," Hoseok stroked the back of his hand as he started to calm from his upright position. It was clear he was startled, it was understandable too, but Hoseok was more worried about the level of confusion the boy was experiencing. "Come on, now,"
"But..." Jimin mumbled, his brows furrowing more as he ran his hand through his hair.
"You're okay, buddy," Hoseok smiled at him, reassuringly, still rubbing his thumb over his knuckles to ground him slightly. "Hoseokie's here. You're safe."
"Where...?" Jimin's frown deepened as he realised he didn't recognise his surroundings. "What is...? Where are...? Huh?"
"We're in the caravan, Chim. You remember when we found it?" Hoseok said, his voice warm and gentle. "You were just having a nap. I'll explain things later when you've calmed down more, okay? Just try and settle for now, though."
