TRIGGER WARNING - SUICIDE MENTION
"Hopefully we have some bullets left," Hoseok said as he and Namjoon entered their small resource room, in search of some ammo since Taehyung and Seokjin ran out while on their supply run.
"Let's just have a look around," Namjoon sighed, shutting the big metal door behind them. The room was fairly empty and the two men already knew they wouldn't find anything, though that didn't stop them trying. "If not, we'll talk to Yoongi and do a run. Where has he got to anyway? I haven't seen him since this morning."
"I don't know, he's probably brooding in his room about something or other," Hoseok shrugged. "I'm sure he'll turn up for dinner."
"Probably," Namjoon decided to just agree before turning back to the task at hand.
They walked around, starting to inspect drawers to no avail, that was until Hoseok noticed something that made his heart drop into his stomach.
"Um, Joon," Hoseok said, his voice suddenly low and wavering, his eyes locked on the back of the room.
"What?" Namjoon asked, following his worried gaze and saw Yoongi in the corner of the room, his knees pulled up to his chest, a gun in his hand. So, that's where he had been hiding.
"Hyung?" Namjoon questioned, carefully, slowly walking up to the older man; sensing a bad vibe in the room. Something was deeply wrong with the scene in front of him. He got no reply, Yoongi just hid his face from them. The younger two saw how his fist was clenched around the firearm, his knuckles white, and managed to work out what was going on but didn't want to jump to any conclusions. "Is everything okay?"
Yoongi's silence and unresponsiveness worried the two. As Namjoon cautiously kneeled by the man, he noticed the gun was cocked, but Yoongi made no effort to hide it. He shot Hoseok a concerned glance before looking back to his hyung.
With a sigh, he chose his words very carefully, the image in front of him creating a terrifying idea in his mind.
"Yoongi hyung," The leader said, his voice low and soft as if he was talking to a scared child. "What's going on? You're worrying me."
Yoongi rose his head and Hoseok couldn't hold in his gasp. The elder's eyes were blank, showing no emotion behind the tears that were leaking out of them, they were distinguished like a star that had just died.
"Yoongs," Hoseok spoke, also crouching down by the man's side, next to Namjoon.
His expression was soft, almost comforting, as he connected his gaze with the elder. Yoongi visibly relaxed, only slightly, at Hoseok's presence. Hoseok had always been like a warm blanket for Yoongi, making him feel safe.
"What's with the gun?" Hoseok asked, trying to get the man to speak up, his silence was deafening.
Again, Yoongi gave them no response, yet again. He just turned away.
The two were shocked by the lack of life in his expression. He just looked... Empty.
Namjoon reached his hand out, as slow as he could, to try and take the loaded weapon away from his brother, scared of why he had it in the first place. His action, however, startled the elder who quickly pointed the gun at him, darkness seeping into his glossy eyes that scared the leader.
Namjoon took in a sharp breath, frozen where he sat from having a gun pointing at his head, more panicked about his brother threatening to kill him. A part of him, deep down, knew Yoongi would have never pulled the trigger but, with the dark aura around him, he didn't want to risk anything.
