TRIGGER WARNING: MENTION/SUICIDE

"Are you sure you're okay?" Jungkook asked, wiping his sweaty fringe out of his eyes as he held Jennie sturdy on her feet. He could feel his back starting to give in the early hours of the morning and the girl had caught on, forcing him to stop his heroic act and let her walk by herself. "Walking, I mean. Are you okay walking or...?"

"You've carried me all night, idiot," Jennie just shook her head and gritted her teeth, pushing the boy away though regretted it when she put her weight down on her injured leg. "You can't keep on. I can walk for an hour, I'm sure."

"Then, just lean on me, if you need to," Jungkook offered but found it redundant when the girl limped ahead of them, not wanting to be the one to slow them down. "Or just be a stubborn bitch, like always..."

"Jungkookssi," The boy's attention was pulled away from the uncompromising girl, Felix calling him from behind. "Jungkookssi, could you wait?"

"Why?" He asked the younger, shortly. He didn't have the energy to deal with Jennie, much less the persistent teen who had used the entire night wanting to make friends again. That said, he couldn't just be rude and brush him off. Felix had been through enough without him being a dickhead, as well. "What's wrong?"

"Thought you might want this," Felix shrugged, jogging to catch up to the boy before taking off his jacket and trying to hand it to him. "So the sun doesn't burn your shoulders, you know?"

Jungkook turned to face the younger with a small frown, eyes squinted as he sheltered them from the blinding sun, only to see him holding out the thin denim jacket with a hopeful look.

"You being nice to me for a reason, kid?" He asked, taking the jacket with a reluctant shrug before putting it on.

"Honestly..." Felix hesitated, feeling bad that he did actually have an ulterior motive behind the act of kindness. "I was going to ask if we could have a short break from walking. Hyunjinnie's not feeling well, we think it's because of the sun."

"Why are you asking me?" Jungkook scoffed,  looking over his shoulder to see the other two. Chris had Hyunjin's arm around his shoulders, practically carrying him at this point as the younger dragged his feet. If the boy was being honest, he did look bad. "Take a break if you need to, no one's stopping you."

"Well, we were asking you because you're leading us, right?" Felix asked, his brow furrowed slightly to hear differently. "I thought you were in charge here, no?"

"No," The elder let out a short laugh, shaking his head as he let his eyes flicker back to the girl who had taken lead, still stubbornly limping ahead. "If anyone's in charge here, it's her. Not me. Where did you even get that idea...? Look, see if you can get Jen to stop and we'll take a break."

"Thank you, Jungkookssi," Felix nodded, skipping ahead to talk the girl into stopping for a while. Jungkook just let out a soft sigh, bringing himself to a pause as he waited for the other two to catch up to them.

"What's going on, Chan?" He asked as Chris approached him, Hyunjin clutching onto him as he stumbled forward.

"Heatstroke, it's gotta be," Chris mumbled, keeping his eyes locked on his brother, deep worry swimming in them. "He's never been this ill."

Jungkook frowned at the younger, seeing just how bad he was. Sweat was dripping from his hair, down his snow-white skin, as he kept tripping forwards even though they had stopped walking. There was a far-away look in the younger's eyes that caused a lump to grow in his throat.
