TRIGGER WARNING - SUICIDE IDEATION/PHYSICAL ABUSE/UPSETTING THEMES

"Come on, let's get off the floor," Taehyung finally said as his best friend's sobs slowly turned into soft whimpers. Carefully lifting the boy by his arms, he just hugged him for a moment longer, making sure he was calm enough to move. "We'll find somewhere comfier to sit, chingu. Not in a stuffy hall. Let's move and then we'll talk."

Jimin sniffled, giving a soft nod as he let the younger guide him down the hall, keeping a hold of his hand out of necessity. Taehyung felt his heart starting to clench, almost with guilt.

Over the months, Jimin had always been by his side, comforting him through every bad day, filled with fear and paranoia, and calming him after every nightmare, filled with memories of not being able to breathe and being restrained for days - but after a while, Taehyung started to pull away once he was feeling stronger. He stopped showing the same concern and wasn't there enough for the elder, nowhere near as much as he should have been, not after everything the boy did for him

"H-he-he's b-b-back... Tae, he..." Jimin cried, barely able to walk forwards as his legs felt like jelly underneath him. Luckily the younger had his arm around his waist, keeping him on his feet. "H-he's go-gon-gonna kill... He's gon-gonna k-kill us!"

"Who? Taemin?" Taehyung asked, his brow furrowing as he pulled the boy to a stop so he could face him. Even the name made the boy flinch and Taehyung realised he had neglected his friend for far too long. "Chimmy, he's been gone for months. We're fine, buddy. He's not gonna..."

"No, h-he's b-back..." Jimin shook his head and was about to try and explain but before he could gather the words, Taehyung heard his name being called from behind much to his annoyance.

"Taessi!" Chris called as he jogged up to the two boys. "You got a minute? I need-"

"Not right now, Channie," Taehyung shook his head, not even making eye contact as he pushed Jimin to keep walking. "Bit busy at the moment. Can we talk later?"

"Tae, it's important," Chris pressed and Taehyung rolled his eyes when he heard the boy following them.

"I'm busy, Chan," Taehyung said more firmly, sensing how awkward Jimin was starting to feel. No matter what Chris was about to talk about, it was nowhere near as important as making sure his best friend was okay. "Jimin needs me right now; to me, that is more important. You should have asked earlier."

Chris stopped in his tracks, narrowing his eyes slightly as Taehyung guided the other boy down the hall, softly talking to him and holding him close to his side.

"Can you at least tell me what the hell is going on?" The teen shouted after them, folding his arms over his chest. Taehyung just gritted his teeth before turning back with a glare.

"That is none of your business," The boy shot back, shocked by the teen's angry stance. What did he have to be annoyed at? "Just piss off for a bit and we'll talk later. I have much more important matters than whatever you need, Chris."

"I think it is my business," Chris frowned, taken aback by the boy's harsh tone though more by how Jimin started hiding his face in the crook of his neck, looking way too close for comfort. "Felix has been missing all day. No one's seen him!"

"I'm sure he's just down with the piano," Taehyung sighed as he hugged his soulmate. The young boy loved music so much that he spent nearly every day in the waiting room, so it wouldn't have been surprising if he was there.

"He's not, Jisungah's already checked," Chris shook his head, having to bite his tongue before he snapped. He really needed the elder's help in finding his brother but Jimin was keeping him way too distracted, holding onto him as if his life depended on it. It was ridiculous. "Please, Taessi. He's only sixteen but the kid thinks like a ten-year-old, I'm worried!"
