TRIGGER WARNING: SUICIDE REFERENCE/DRUG USE

"Where the fuck is he?" Chris grumbled, wading through the trees; Hyunjin, Namjoon and Jungkook were hot on his heels as they searched for Felix. "Had this been last year, we'd have got hold of him instantly. The kid was glued to that goddamned phone of his... And now we can't fucking find him."

The sun was beating down on the group, the ground below them felt like hot coals as they carried on with the search party. It was a horrible sense of deja vu for Namjoon, who was already getting psychosomatically nauseous from the whole ordeal.

"Just... Try the radio again," Namjoon suggested, becoming exasperated quickly with the teen. He understood the horrific fear of having a brother lost and missing, and he empathised whole-heartedly, but the way Chris was voicing his every thought and rude opinion was really getting under his skin.

"He doesn't have a fucking radio!" Chris snapped, turning back to the leader with a stern look. "How many fucking times do I have to say that?"

"Yah, have some respect!" Jungkook shouted at the boy, not a fan of the tone he was taking with the elder. "Watch who you're talking to, arsehole."

"Kook, shut up," Namjoon just sighed, sending his maknae a soft glare, not missing the slight hypocrisy in the boy's words. Jungkook was being just as rude as the other, it didn't matter who he was talking to. "Both of you need to start watching your mouths."

"Oh, I'm sorry," Chris scoffed, facing the leader with an even harsher stare. "Is it your baby brother who's missing? Are you worrying your arse off, right now?"

Namjoon abruptly paused where he stood, luckily with enough trees over him, providing enough shelter from the sun to see the teen properly. With one raised eyebrow, a disbelieving expression, he silently challenged the younger to repeat what he had just asked, but the boy just seemed to shrink under his gaze.

"Chris," The leader spoke, using English as he knew Jungkook would have had a strong opinion if he understood what was being said. "I'm not even going to entertain you with an answer to that. I suggest you think a bit before asking me questions like that. We are trying really hard to help here. We all want to find Felix, safe and unharmed, but you are making it very fucking difficult to want to stick around out here.

"Don't use my first name," The boy shook his head at the elder, narrowing his eyes still. "You're in no position to use my first name... And if I'm making it so hard to be out here, just fuck off back. We don't need your help.

Hyunjin stared at his brother, a small frown furrowing his brow as he heard anger behind the foreign words, but Namjoon just shrugged the kid off.

The elder could see the subtle tears welling up in the boy's eyes, he could see just how scared he was, but he wasn't going to stand and argue with him all day.

"Fine," Namjoon raised his hands, deciding to give the younger what he wanted. "Come on, Kook. Let's leave him to it."

"Seriously?" Jungkook asked, suddenly confused as to why they were leaving and a little annoyed that he had just wasted his time for nothing.

"Yeah," Namjoon just nodded, turning on his heel to head back. Whereas he knew Chris did want his help, he knew there was no point in trying until he had calmed down a bit. "Come on, let's just head back and find the others."
