"This is getting harder to do without suspicion, noona," Jongin said as he leaned back into his seat and put his feet over the dashboard, of the van his boss was driving, sheltering his eyes from the winter sun. His voice had to be loud so he wasn't drowned out by the banging coming from the loadspace, behind them. "Why do we have to get them anyway?"
"You know why," Dawon shook her head, focusing her eyes on the road. She was mentally kicking herself for bringing Jongin, the laziest staff member, rather than the likes of Jackson or Minho. "Lee says the blind is the best defence, and if we want to keep our home, we have to round them up and hand them over."
"Seems unfair that we have to do their dirty work, though," Jongin sighed. "What did you even do to piss them off so much? You're certainly becoming one of the most disliked people around here..."
"Let's just drop it," Dawon cut him off as she pulled the van over by other vehicles, on the otherwise empty road. A small group of men stood around, seemingly awaiting their appearance. Turning the engine off, Dawon and Jongin hopped out of the van to stand in front of the group.
"Tut, tut, tut..." A tall man, short chocolate hair, sharp features and threatening eyes, stepped forward. Dawon wasn't fazed by his intimidating stance, rather it seemed like she was more than used to it. "Twenty minutes late, Jung. You're getting worse at timekeeping."
"And you're getting worse at people skills, Taemin, yet here we are," Dawon fired back, crossing her arms over her chest as she stepped away from the van, allowing the man to inspect it. "The cargo you requested is all there, in the back. Go on, open it, I dare you."
"Come on, Dawonssi," Taemin chuckled, ruffling the woman's hair condescendingly as he walked up to the van. His very aura was enough to make others quiver, make them feel the need to bow down and obey his every request, but Dawon just sighed in annoyance. "We're all friends here. No need to threaten death, now."
"You promised us a doctor, Jung," Another man's voice spoke up, walking forward from the other four people standing around. "Don't tell me you've changed your mind."
"He couldn't make it, Baekhyun," Dawon said to the man as she sent a glare, over her shoulder, to the man who was very obviously in charge and had control here. Maybe even over her. "You'll have to wait until next time for him to visit."
"Ah, okay," Taemin chuckled with a slight shake of his head. "We'll just tell the ill kids that Doctornim was just too busy to see if they were okay."
"Woosung works for me, not you. I say when he visits and when he doesn't. Anyway, your staff wouldn't be ill if you didn't make them do such soul-destroying tasks..." Dawon scoffed, looking over her shoulder with gritted teeth. "Just get what's yours and we'll leave."

The soft goodbyes filled the cold air between the group, muting the sound of the snow raining down on them; though, the sound of subtle tears falling from their eldest hyung's eyes was louder.
Seokjin was standing at the back of the truck, checking and checking and checking the supplies Woosung had managed to sneak out for the three, over and over again to make sure his brothers had everything they needed to stay safe.
Getting things for Yoongi and Taehyung was easy since they hadn't had their belongings stolen, but Woosung had to be careful getting what Jimin needed, without any questions. He wasn't able to get much but it was enough to sustain, for now.
