To say the past few weeks were stressful, for the group, would have been an understatement, to say the least.
A lot had gotten better for them, but a lot had gotten worse as well.
In a positive light, the group was over the moon to have Taehyung back. After the short time of having to grieve, feeling a loss that none of them had ever felt before - knowing that Taehyung was actually unharmed and safe was the best news they had ever received. The dynamics of the group had gone back to normal in the boy's eyes. They were no longer overprotective or patronising, just happy to spend as much time with him as they could. They were never going to waste another second, not when they could hold each other close.
The group had come to realise that the risk of losing each other, at any time, was way too high.
Jungkook had apologised to Felix for what happened, under Taehyung's suggestion and support. The teenager said he understood, forgiving the elder pretty much straight away. Taehyung called them both ridiculous and stupid for getting so worked up over him, playfully slapping them both upside the head. After some laughs and jokes, the younger two had even become fairly good friends. They connected over how much they both loved music and Felix had managed to get Jungkook to let him give him piano lessons.
Yoongi and Taehyung had finally convinced Jimin to spend more time outside with them, not that it was for very long nor was it a very pleasant experience. Now that he had recovered a fair bit, Jimin was feeling stronger and was more willing to spend time out of his room, but that didn't mean he enjoyed being out in the building where Hyungsik now had permission to roam around freely. Sitting in the sun was all well and good, it was nice for the three to just spend some time relaxing, until Jimin started feeling anxious, caused by a group of men taking the dead down through the fence, leading to yet another panic attack. It was becoming a common problematic scenario which the other two found pretty hard to resolve.
Dawon, Seokjin, and Namjoon were thrilled to be able to watch Hoseok gain his strength back. They spent hours talking to him, happy to hear his voice and aid him in carrying on long conversations. The best part was being able to take him around the building, either pushing the back of his wheelchair or holding his hand as he walked a short distance every so often, watching as he looked around in awe and ask: where the hell have I been?
With all this positivity going around, however, came the underlying fact that they were still being forced to live under the same roof as that bastard. Dawon came to a decision, days after the incident with Hyungsik, that they would not kick him out. She decided that it was best to let him stay, keep him in one side of the building, near her own office, under close observation until she believed he could be trusted again.
Yoongi filled her in on all the information he found out while Hyungsik practically held him and Jimin hostage. How it was all part of a revenge act against her, but he was surprised when she just shrugged him off and said she wasn't shocked. The only reason she was letting him stay was that she knew how emotionally unstable he was. The bottom line is that she knew it was her fault and felt guilty, extremely guilty.
Hoseok was well aware of what went down when he wasn't well, he wasn't thrilled with how Dawon handled everything, to say the least; but he was in no position to question her, even as her brother. That said, he had made a mental note to have a one-to-one conversation with the man when he got the chance, let him know exactly what the consequences would be if he ever threatened his family again.
As time passed, Dawon granted Hyungsik more freedom, much to the disapproval of the Bangtan group. He was now free to go wherever he wanted in the building, as long as one of Dawon's main men were with him. The man enjoyed having this freedom however, under no circumstance, was he allowed near any of the seven. Dawon had made it very clear that he was on his last life and, seeing as the seven hated him with a passion, she had also told him that the figure of speech may become more of a fact if he ever crossed any line.
