43. Reconcile!!

After Natasha left, Nitya resumed her work when one of the team member informed her about the meeting : Mam the presentation is ready. Should I go and call Atharva sir??

Nitya : Umm.. no you call all the other team mates in the conference room. I will get Atharva sir.

Anisha lifted her head when she heard the elevator sound indicating someone's arrival. Seeing Nitya, she smiled bright and greeted her.

Nitya : Is Atharva inside??

Anisha asked confused : Oh no!! Sir won't be coming to office today. You don't know??

Nitya frowned at the information : Umm no actually I am staying at my parent's place from few days.....

Anisha : Hmm!! Sir called me this morning to reschedule his today's appointments. He apparently said that he is injured or something but when I asked further, he disconnected the call........

Nitya's eyes widened : What?? Injured?? Is he ok??

Anisha shrugged : I don't know. He didn't said me anything clearly.......

Nitya : Ok. I will go now. Hey Anisha!! Can you inform my team that today's meeting is cancelled?? They are waiting for me and Atharva in the conference room........

Anisha : Sure I will. Let me know how sir is doing.......

Nitya nodded and after informing the HR head, she grabbed her belongings and asked Sam to drive her to the penthouse.

Atharva was talking with Agastya as he had holiday today in his preschool : Why did you not do your homework boo??

Agastya : I don't wike writing 1,2,3 daddy.

Atharva chuckled : That's not right champ. You should listen to your mommy.......

Agastya : She scold me daddy.

Atharva : Ofcourse she will scold you if you don't do your homework. You are my good boy right??

Agastya hummed

Atharva : Then promise daddy that you will complete your homework today before mommy comes home from office!!

Agastya : Ok!! Daddy I wanna come home to you.

Atharva sighed : Champ what did I said??

Agastya whinned : Mommy stay with nanu and nani if she miss them. I wanna come to you daddy. I miss you.......

Atharva : We meet daily in our office don't we??

Agastya : I no wike here now daddy. I wanna sleep in my room.

Atharva : Agastya please baby few more days huh?? Then daddy will ask mommy to bring you back to our home.

Agastya : Plomise??

Atharva : Promise champ!! Now do your homework and be daddy's good boy alright!!

Agastya giggled which made Atharva sigh in content : Ok daddy bye love you.......

Atharva : Love you too champ!!

He had just got up to drink water after speaking with his son when the front door opened with a bang and Nitya barged inside panting slightly.

She rushed towards Atharva who had paused in the middle of the living room seeing her : Are....are you ok?? Anisha told me that you are injured!! What happened??

Atharva bit his bottom lip to prevent the goofy grin and pulled her in his arms hugging the life out of her.
