62. Epilogue!!!!!

Nitya looked around the condition of their penthouse and sighed in exaggeration. Looks like today is again going to be one of those days where she needs to go on the spree of house cleaning. Glancing at the time, she breathed in relief. "I still have time to arrange everything before the tornado hits my home"

First deciding to change into some casual track n t-shirt from her work clothes, she gathered her hair into a messy bun and strolled into the kitchen to put the month's grocery at it's proper place.

Rice, oil, flour and pulses into the small and big containers in the pantry. Fruits and vegetables alongwith few sauces into the fridge. Snacks, chocholates and cookies in the upper kitchen cabinet so her children doesn't keep munching on them in her absence. Detergents, soaps and cleaning liquids in the washing area. She grinned in triumph for sorting all the groceries in just twenty minutes.

Next grabbing a broom and a cleaning cloth, she dusted and sweeped the living room followed by children's room to clean the mess made by them and then mopped every corner followed by watering of plants in the balcony. Last task was to gather everyone's clothes from their respective rooms and put it for washing in the washing machine. "Come on Nitya just one more task then you can rest till evening"

Pushing herself up from the lounge chair in the balcony, she emptied laundry basket into the washing machine and switched it on. Finally tired from all the household chores, she dragged herself for a quick shower and changed before taking a nap. Two hours later, her stomach growled and she woke up hungry. Glancing at the wall clock, she got up and went inside the kitchen for some snacks. Still 5 in the evening so not dinner time yet.

She was enjoying her instant noodles when her phone rang and a smile made it's way on her lips.

Nitya : Hey hubby!!!!!

Atharva : Seems like you were expecting my call eagerly??

Nitya smirked : Now why would I do that??

A low rumble of laughter made her sigh in content. Pure bliss!! This is what her life had been since she married this wonderful man. Her loving and caring husband. A dotting and perfect father to her kids. Even after facing all the ups and downs in their five years of marriage, her and Atharva's love never took a backstep rather bloomed like a fresh flower with each passing day. The presence of their children added the fragrance and beauty to their lives.

Atharva : Ehefrau where are you lost??

Even though his voice sounded soft, she didn't missed the underlying tease in it.

Nitya : In you!!

Atharva : Didn't knew my absence of one week will make you miss me this much!! I sure need to start taking more and more business trips......

Nitya : Don't you dare Mr. Rajwanshi!! Don't forget we agreed for just two business trips for you per year and it's your second in this year. By the way when are you flying back??

Atharva sighed : I am already on my way back. We just stopped in Delhi for refuelling. I will reach home around dinner time.

Nitya shrieked : Really????

Atharva : Hmm..... Anyways what were you and the kids doing??

Nitya : They are with their grandparents today and I was having a snack before you called.

Atharva : Snack?? You don't usually prefer to have evening snack Ehefrau!!!!!!

Nitya : I know but I was hungry when I woke up from my nap. Actually Diana called in sick today and when I came home from office around noon, the house was a mess and in the process of cleaning it, I was too tired to have my lunch so eating now!!
