Nitya was standing in their balcony and gazing at the city skyline remembering the events of the evening. After listening to each of her family member's hearty confession, she was so overwhelmed that she couldn't stop crying rivers. She never felt this emotional before. Well blame it on her pregnancy hormones!!!!
She definitely felt good when each member spoke how special she is for them but when Atharva, who is a person of few words when it comes to expressing himself, pour his heart out to her in front of everyone, she felt as if she can finally consider giving him a chance if not for herself then for her baby. Earlier she always saw guilt and regret in his eyes after he learned the truth but today she saw shame and disgust for himself for the first time.
Yes he did mistake in judging her and there's no excuse for that but from the moment he realized his wrongdoing, he is trying his level best to undo it. If she once gave him a chance for Agastya's betterment then this time also he will get another one for this new child's betterment. Only she won't be telling him that for now. Let him work a little more hard to earn her forgiveness and more importantly her trust back.
Nitya startled when a soft woolen blanket got wrapped around her and a husky voice resonating from behind.
Atharva : It's getting chilly!! I don't want you to catch cold.......
She breathed in deeply clutching the blanket tighter around her delicate frame.
Atharva scratched his nape and smiled giddily at his wife : Thank you!!
Nitya raised her brow silently questioning him for the reason of his gratitude.
Atharva : For giving me a chance to rectify my mistake and moving back in. I promise I will try my best to not give you any opportunity to regret your decision!!
Nitya scoffed : Who said I agreed to give you a chance???? Don't be delusional Atharva.....
Atharva chuckled shaking his head : I am not being delusional Ehefrau!! You wouldn't be here if you had not forgiven me. I know you that much.
Nitya : I have not yet forgiven you!!!!!
Atharva : Then I will continue to work hard to gain your forgiveness. I have never given up on us and I will never do so in this lifetime.......
Their talks got interrupted when their first born bounced in the balcony.
Agastya : Mommy I wanna sleep......
Nitya smiled ruffling his hair and grabbed his hand in her's : Then let's go to bed.....
Agastya : Daddy you too!!
Atharva nodded and followed them inside after closing the glass door of balcony.
Nitya hesitated when she reached near their bedroom. Seeing her reluctance, Atharva stepped back.
Atharva : You take Agastya with you and sleep in the master bedroom. I will take your old room.
Agastya who was unaware of the ackwardness between his parents tugged at his father's arm : Daddy pwease come and sleep with me and mommy. I wanna sleep in between you two and you know we all can talk to small baby also......
Atharva looked at Nitya helplessly and she sighed opening the door and stepping inside : Come and sleep here Atharva!!
Atharva bit his cheek from smiling wide and took Agastya in his arms thanking him silently.
Nitya patted Agastya's stomach : Sleep darling......
Agastya : Mommy did small baby also sleep??
