57. Inner turmoil!!

Nitya shook her head tired from pondering over her mother's and father-in-law's words. Is she doing wrong with this unborn by keeping him/ her away from it's father. Why it's not easy to give another chance to Atharva for the sake of this baby when she easily gave him one because of Agastya. Does that make her culprit of this new baby??

A mother can go to any extend for her child and she did that for Agastya when she got married to Atharva knowing that he didn't gave two flying fuck about her at that time. She always kept Agastya's comfort and happiness above her then why is she not able to do the same for her another child. Why her pride or ego or self-respect or whatever the hell it is there is stopping her to put her another child above her??

Atharva did mistake in his judgement but doesn't she know him better?? He is impulsive and that's somewhere expected from him but she is considered as stable and sane person in their relationship. Then why is she behaving obstinate like him.

Is her ego stronger than her love for him and their baby?? She closed her eyes rubbing her temple. These thoughts would make her mind go in frenzy. Deciding to bring a truce to their situation, she stood up and strutted towards Atharva's office with an intention to speak to him regarding this matter.

Atharva : Take care and call me if anything is not as per your expectations alright!!

Aastha nodded : I will!! You sure you don't need my help in making your wife jealous. I can stay here for few more days.....

Atharva chuckled tapping her forehead : No.....

Aastha rolled her eyes pulling him for a hug : Thanks for helping me out!! I will miss you

Atharva caressed her head kissing her hair : Me too!!

The noise of an object falling broke their embrace and Atharva's eyes widened seeing Nitya standing at the threshold.

Nitya quickly bend and grabbed her phone : I am sorry...... I...I didn't knew you were busy. See you later

Aastha smirked whistling as soon as Nitya left : Looks like you are in trouble again Mr. Rajwanshi?? All the best!!

Atharva shook his head : It's time for you to take your leave Miss. Rathod!!

Aastha laughed grabbing her handbag : Bye and I truly hope you both solve whatever issue is there between you guys.

Atharva smiled back pocketing his hands : Have a safe journey. Text me when you reach Jaipur

Aastha nodded walking out and he picked up his phone and glares before exiting the lavish office.

Atharva frowned when he spotted his wife's office empty. Deciding to check in the canteen, he went towards the elevator and when Nitya was not there also he dialled Joel.

Joel : Yes sir??

Atharva : Where is your mam??

Joel : Sir I just dropped mam at the beach near the office. She asked me to come and pick her up after an hour

Atharva : Bring the car here!!

The waves were hitting the shore and the sunset was casting a golden orange hue on the droplets of water. The calm and serene atmosphere which always managed to calm her inner turmoil failed to do it's duty today. Nitya saw the sunrays kissing the ocean crystals goodbye and wished when her problems would be kissing her life goodbye!!

Nitu how will you carry this unknown man's child alone in a foreign land. You are not even married for God sake!!

Your mom is right Nitya. You need to abort this baby!!

Nitya sucked the salty breath when the waves touched her feet and her trance broke hearing the sound of someone clearing the throat.

She turned over her shoulder and stepped back to sit on the nearby rock not bothering to respond to the other person. Atharva sighed and sat besides her gazing at the infinite water stretched across them.

Atharva broke the silence : Aastha is like Vaishali for me. There's nothing between us

Nitya : I never asked about it......

Atharva : She had came here for training. Today was her last day in Bengaluru. She is going back to Jaipur this evening

Nitya : Hmm

Atharva glanced at her breaking his gaze away from the waterbody : What's bothering you Ehefrau??

Nitya chuckled sadly shaking her head : Nothing and everything. It doesn't even matter now!!

Atharva gripped her hand kept on the rock surface in his : Did something happen?? Your talks are scaring me.

Nitya : There comes a day in your life when you feel worthless and think it's finally time  you should give up. Have you ever experienced such day Atharva??

Atharva's eyes widened hearing her question and he kneeled in front of her cupping her face : Nitya what happened darling?? Why are you talking like this?? Did anybody said anything to you?? Please tell me what made you feel such shit about yourself and I will take care of it........

Nitya's eyes shined with unshed tears : What is my fault Atharva?? I am tired of fighting alone every damn time. I am tired of proving myself for no mistake of mine. I don't expect a stranger to understand my feelings but it hurts so much when your near and dear ones fail to do that. It hurts when you put everyone around you above yourself and yet no one does the same for you!!

Atharva pulled her in a tight embrace caressing her back to calm her : It's ok Nitya I am here for you. Please don't be sad. It will affect the baby!!

Nitya pulled away biting her lip to prevent the sob : See now also you are concerned for the baby only not me.....

Atharva's jaw dropped and he fumbled with his words : No..... I.... I.... I don't mean

Nitya : You don't mean anything you do Atharva and that's the problem!!

Atharva opened his mouth to speak but shut it close when no words left from his lips.

Nitya's breathing laboured and she panted slightly struggling to breathe normally. Her fingers clutched tightly around Atharva's shoulder and her eyes rolled back when she felt a wave of giddiness hitting her.

Atharva's face morphed into a frown before his eyes widened and he panicked. He cradled Nitya's head on his left shoulder quickly and patted her cheek furiously.

Atharva : What happened Ehefrau?? Please open your eyes Nitya. You can't do this to me......

Nitya felt herself being shaken and stirred but her mind and body choose falling into dreamless slumber far better than going back to harsh reality.
