36. Surprise!!

Next morning Nitya was getting ready when she heard voices from downstairs. Shrugging, she tied her hair in a small clip leaving the remaining of it open and strolled downstairs.

Her brows shot up in surprise seeing the father-son all ready for the day before her and grinning at her like a Cheshire cat.

Agastya : Morning mommy

Nitya smiled ruffling his hair : Good morning my sunshine.

Atharva grabbed her wrist and kissed the back of her palm since Agastya won't allow him to kiss her cheek or lips in his presence : Good morning Ehefrau!!

Nitya's smile disappeared and she wished him back with a poker face.

Agastya tugged at her pant : Let's eat mommy. I am hungry

Nitya : Wait for ten minutes baby. I will make us breakfast

Atharva : You don't have to!!

Nitya narrowed her eyes at him hearing what he said.

Atharva : I mean I got it covered. I already got Spanish omlettes and cheese toasts delivered.

Nitya : Come Agastya!!

She took his hand in hers and went towards the dinning table completely ignoring Atharva.

Atharva followed them huffing and mumbling to himself : Great I take all the efforts only to get ignored!!

Atharva cleared his throat making Nitya lift her head from her plate : Umm..... We are not going to office today.

Nitya : Is that a request from my husband or an order from my boss??

Atharva rolled his eyes and snapped at her : God will you just let that matter slip??

Nitya replied in the same harsh tone as his : Don't shout!!

Agastya : Mommy are you and daddy fighting??

Nitya glared at Atharva : Answer him now!!

Atharva looked at Agastya smiling cheerfully : No champ!! We are just talking.

Agastya : Plomise?? Fighting bad daddy

Atharva : Promise boo. Now eat

The remaining breakfast went in silence and Artharva asked Sam to drop Agastya at his preschool. After seeing their son off, Nitya started walking towards their bedroom with her husband following her behind.

Atharva slammed the bedroom door close grabbing Nitya's attention. He hugged her from behind and kissed her nape.

Atharva : I am sorry Ehefrau!!

Nitya hummed but didn't replied back.

Atharva : Talk to me please!! Yell at me, scream at me, hit me! Do whatever you like but don't ignore me. It makes me lose my mind

Nitya removed his hands from her waist and turned back : Not interested!! Now excuse me!!

Atharva blocked her way and stopped her from moving by caging her in his arms : Fine I accept it was my mistake yesterday. I should have discussed about it first with you before deciding anything. If you want then I will transfer that project back to your team.

Nitya glared hearing him : Keep your charity work with you. I don't want it!!

Atharva pulled away running his fingers in his hair in frustration : Don't call it a charity Nitya!! And end this matter right now.

Nitya : I ended it yesterday when I left your office. It's you who is not letting it go

Atharva : Really?? Am I the one dragging it??
