10. Agastya is mine!!

Nitya felt as if she got charged by 440 volt current seeing Atharva on her doorstep at this ungodly hour.

Coming out of her shock, she planted her hands on her waist unknowingly drawing Atharva's attention on that area : Is this the time to visit someone?? Normal people try to sleep at this hour.......

Atharva scoffed and tried to peek inside over her shoulder : The things I had to discuss couldn't wait till dawn and move aside Ms. Shrivastav! The conversation we are going to have cannot happen here in the foyer!!

Nitya glared at him blocking his way : Whatever it is can wait until tomorrow. Leave now!!

Atharva smirked : Believe me you won't say this once you here me out!!

Nitya sighed knowing how stubborn her boss could be and moved aside to let him enter. Without waiting for him, she walked ahead deep into the hallway and Atharva followed her understanding her silent command.

Closing the room of guest bedroom, she turned around crossing her hands across her chest : Say whatever you have to then leave. And it better not be something related to office.

Atharva gave her such an intense look which send shivers down her spine for a moment : I am here for my son!!

Nitya gaped at him : Son?? Your's?? Sorry mister but you are at the wrong address. I don't keep anyone's spare heir at my home.

Atharva pocketed his hands and kept his face blank giving out nothing : Agastya is my son.....

Nitya snapped hearing this : What the hell!! Are you fucking crazy Mr. Rajwanshi?? Do you even know what bullshit you are spitting. Stop behaving like a mentally retarded and just leave......

Atharva took two long strides and gripped her arms in his vice like grip : I said earlier also not to take that tone with me!!

Nitya shoved him with full force to free herself but he didn't budge : Leave me you jerk!!

Atharva realised their positions and pulled away quickly : Co-operate with me Ms. Shrivastav and we can find a middle way of our situation.

Nitya rubbed her sore wrist that had started turning red : I don't know what situation you are talking about and please for God's sake stop mentioning my son as yours. I told you before also to stay away from my Agastya and if you can't do that then be ready to face the legal consequences.......

Atharva : Agastya is mine too. He is my son as well and the sooner you accept this truth, the better for us.

Nitya gasped : But why are you claiming him as your's?? Just because I don't have a man in my life and Agastya is attached to you doesn't mean he is your child.

Atharva rolled his eyes : Do I look that stupid. I have facts to prove the truth Ms. Shrivastav!!

Nitya : What do you mean by that?? Which facts??

Atharva : My sperm was inseminated with your egg. I am Agastya's biological father.

Nitya gasped audibly and leaned on the nearby wall : No you are lying!!

Atharva raised his eyebrow : Why would I?? Look at this medical document.

He forwarded his phone towards her and Nitya's eyes went wide after reading the scanned medical documents in his cellphone.

Nitya sat down with a thud mumbling : It's not possible!! No!!

Tears of fear and helplessness started rolling down her cheeks and for the first time since they met, Atharva felt something tugging at his heart when he saw her so helpless. Her image in his eyes was of bold, confident and independent woman not this helpless and fragile lady he was seeing right now.

He kneeled down besides her and sat adjacent leaning back on the same wall : Sorry that this thing came out so unexpected but searching and knowing the truth after so long, I cannot let it go ignored Miss. Shrivastav!!

Nitya whispered meakly : Drop the formality and please call me Nitya!!

Atharva nodded : You too call me by my name. Nitya we need to decide about Agastya.

Nitya frowned turning towards him : What's there to decide about it Mr. Raj....... I mean Atharva!! Agastya is too small to get tangled in this chaotic mess......

Atharva : Do you take me to be that moronic to involve my small child in this?? By deciding I mean how will we tell Agastya about me being his father and him staying with me.......

Nitya : Staying with you?? Have you gone nuts Atharva?? Yes I agree you have right to introduce yourself to him as his father but he has lived with me since his birth and he will continue to live with me......

Atharva : I have already lost three years of his life Nitya so do you really think that I will let him stay away from me anymore??

Nitya : But you can't just come and demand things your way mister!! I am his mother and I decide what is right for my son.

Atharva glared at her : Don't forget to count me in the picture from now on. I am his father and I have equal rights as you on my son.

Nitya sighed feeling drained out by all this newly found information : Atharva please give me some time to think clearly and grasp all these things. It's all new to me.

Atharva : It's new for me as well but mind one thing Nitya, Agastya won't be living away from me now......

Nitya : I am not that insensitive. You can meet him any time you want. I won't stop you two......

Atharva scoffed : You won't stop me?? Don't think of yourself so high Miss. Nitya Shrivastav........ Anyways we still have so much more things to talk but it can wait till tomorrow. Come to office early and bring Agastya also with you tomorrow.

Nitya : But he......

Atharva stood up ready to leave : No arguments on this Nitya. I wanna spend some time with my baby and we can talk later. Goodnight

Nitya closed the door after Atharva's departure and went to her room. Seeing Agastya sleeping so soundly clutching his small comforter over his chest, her heart clenched and tears brimmed her eyes. She needs to think something quick. She can't just allow Atharva to come barging in her and Agastya's lives and turn it upside-down.
She has always been a fighter in life and this time it's the matter of her child. Being a mother, she won't back down till her last ounce of energy is sucked out.
