4. First meet!!

Atharva dialled the intercom and his secretary picked up on the first ring itself : Miss. Anisha in my cabin now!!

Anisha rolled her eyes hearing the beep sound of the disconnected call and quickly stood up to go in her arrogant boss's cabin. Knocking on his office door, she went inside after hearing a curt reply from the other side.

Anisha : Yes sir

Atharva : Book my ticket to New Zealand for tomorrow evening

Anisha frowned : Are you not travelling by your jet sir?? I can call your pilot and get the jet ready.....

Atharva gave a scowl in her direction : Did I asked for your opinion?

Anisha gulped looking down : Sorry sir! I will book your ticket for tomorrow evening. What about your stay in New Zealand and return ticket??

Atharva again masked his serious expression : Book a private suite for me at any nice hotel in Wellington and also book my return ticket for two days later.

Anisha : Sure sir. Do you want anyone to accompany you in this trip?? I mean me or your security??

Atharva barked at her feeling irritated : No and now if your questions are over then get back to work. Ask the head of finance department to give me full update and cost structure for Lawson technology! I will be needing it during my New Zealand trip. Also book my appointment with the CTO of Lawson technology for the next day.

Anisha quickly noted down the points and left.

Atharva was working in his cabin when he heard the door of his office opening. Lifting his head, he saw his father coming inside.

Rahul : Hey Atharva!!

Atharva gestured him to take a seat : Dad!! Did you wanted anything??

Rahul rolled his eyes and chuckled : Is it necessary that I should come only when I want something??

Atharva : No Dad I didn't mean it that way!!

Rahul smiled : It's ok! Anyways I heard you are going to New Zealand tomorrow??

Atharva nodded leaning back in his chair and interlacing his fingers : I am going to meet the CTO of Lawson technology in Wellington....

Rahul : Atharva it's just 30 million dollar deal. Why are you even taking the trouble of going that long when there are many bigger deals here itself??

Atharva : It's a new rising company Dad and it's future potential is too good to miss. Anyways I will be gone for just two days and I am sure when I return the deal will be ours.

Rahul : Ok as you say son! But Anisha said you are not taking the jet nor is your security tailing you?? Why??

Atharva : Our pilot said me this afternoon when I called that there is some problem with the jet and it's requires urgent maintainence. So that's the reason I asked Anisha to book me on a commercial flight. And Dad you know I don't like my security following me all the time. I like to have my own privacy and New Zealand is safe so my security won't be accompanying me.

Rahul nodded and turned to leave : Alright! Go and get the deal. Be safe!

Atharva got back to work and it was already midnight by the time he returned home. Entire day's exhaustion took its toll on him and he slept without eating anything. It was in the wee hours of morning, his sleep got disturbed and when he saw the time, he was thankful that he got straight four hours of sleep last night.

Knowing it was still time to start the day and he won't be able to sleep again, he completed some of his office work and then headed to his gym before taking a shower and packing his clothes and other necessary items for the travel.
