━━━━━ ELLIE STOOD NEXT to Carlisle she was by the kitchen watching Sue and Charlie talk to each other. A smile seemed to grace her lips, as she watched the two.

"I can rest a little easier knowing that Charlie found someone to spend the rest of his life with." Ellie said, taking her eyes off them and placing them on her mate.

"I know you do." Carlisle told her as he moved his arms around her waist and pulled her closer to him. Ellie then looked out the window staring at the snow.

"The snow is sticking."

"El, we have tonight. That's all that matters."

"I know, I know."

She rested back into Carlisle's chest as Charlie walked over to them and through the frame. "All right! Present time! Let's go! Seth, Leah, stop eating." Charlie called out. "Jake, you start. Get it going."

Ellie leaned her head back and looked at Carlisle as he smiled at her and placed a kiss on her lips. The two then walked over to the couch, Carlisle sat down next to Leah, while Seth stood up and grabbed his present he had for Gwendolyn. Ellie sat on the edge of the couch, a smile on her face as Gwendolyn opened one of her presents.

"Well, dad, we didn't have time to wrap yours, but here it is." Bella said, handing him an envelope. Charlie sat down in the chair, as Bella and Edward walked around to the other side of Ellie and Carlisle. "It's a 5-day fishing trip to Fraser River. It's for you and Sue." She added.

"You leave tomorrow." Edward told him.

"Wow, that's really nice. Thank you. Tomorrow? I can't leave tomorrow." Charlie told them.

"I made arrangements for you at work." Sue said, jumping into the conversation.

"Sneaky. And extravagant."

"And non-refundable, I'm afraid."

"You two trying to get rid of me?" Charlie asked, Ellie lowered her head and proceeded to look at Carlisle as he stared back at her. "Because it's working!" He laughed, Ellie sighed in relief. "Fraser River. That means we'll be chasing Cutthroat."

"We might even hook a Rainbow or some Bulls." Sue said, sitting in the chair with Charlie and handing a beer over to him.

"Woman knows her trout."

Gwendolyn stood up and walked over to Ellie and Carlisle with a smile on her face. She proceeded to show her parents what she had gotten from Seth. Ellie loved the smile that rested on her face.

That night Gwendolyn had decided that she wanted to stay inside in her bed. And she wanted Astrid to read her a story. Astrid had become an important figure in her life, so it was no surprise when she had said something like that. Ellie sat on a log next to Tia, with Max on the other side of her. And Thalia next to Max holding onto his head tightly.
