━━━━━ THE DAY HAD ended, Bella and Ellie were back home in their rooms. Bella had been in her room most of the night and most of the morning. Ellie had done the same thing, she really hadn't been in the mood to go to work.

Charlie had left to hunt the wolves, while the pack had been hunting Victoria. Astrid had even gone with them to help, so there really hadn't been much talk between her and Astrid. Ellie turned on her bed looking up at the ceiling, thinking about the kiss she and Max had shared a few days ago.

It was a beautiful kiss, but in her mind after it had happened, it didn't compare to what she had with Carlisle. Carlisle truly was the love of her life, and even if she and Max had kissed again, she would choose Carlisle.

Nothing would change that, not even someone who loved her would change that. Sighing she stood up from her bed walking over to her phone and dialing Carlisle's number. Some part of her hoped that he would answer his phone, whereas the other part of her hoped he wouldn't so she could leave him a message.

After a few rings the phone went to voicemail, and so Ellie left a short message, not sure if Carlisle would ever listen to it. She looked out the window, waiting for the words to pop into her mind.

"I know what I need to do now, I need to do something fun. And I'm sorry for not moving on sooner, I love you so much Carlisle. Goodbye." Hanging up the phone Ellie walked over to her door, and proceeded to the stairs heading up to Bella's room. Bella turned away from her window looking over at her sister.

"Let's go cliff jumping." Bella said, grabbing her keys.

Ellie only nodded in response, turning around she headed back down the steps towards the door and down the last set of steps. Then she walked over to Bella's truck climbing into the passenger side.

Once Bella was in her truck she turned it on and pulled out of the driveway. Ellie looked out to the road as Bella drove toward the sight where they would eventually jump off the cliff. Eventually Bella came to a spot where they would have to walk by foot, Ellie jumped out of the truck closing the door behind her.

Walking around to the front she followed behind Bella who led her through the woods to the top of the cliff. They continued through the woods until they made it to the very top, the two brunettes pushed through the trees coming to a stop at the edge of the cliff.

Ellie took off her jacket, while Bella did the same thing. Bella grasped Ellie's hand, causing her to look down at their connected hands. Ellie then lifted her head up, staring at her sister, "we jumped together." Ellie said with a small smile on her face.

Bella nodded her head, the two ran forward jumping off the edge of the cliff and heading down towards the cold brisk water. Upon impact of the water, Ellie lost her grip on Bella's hand, not sure where she had gone.

She looked around the water not seeing anything near her. Ellie began to swim up towards the surface. As she reached the top she gasped for air, soon turning around looking for Bella. In the distance she could see her sister come up for air not long after she did. A small smile fell onto both Ellie's and Bella's face.

"That was fun." Ellie spoke to herself, moving her feet in the water.

However, things quickly changed when she turned around to look at what Bella had been looking at her. Sucking in the air she went back under the water, using her strength to try and get to the shoreline, however something stopped her.

She floated in the water seeing what looked like her mother, quickly turning around she began swimming again heading towards the shoreline. As she swam she felt something grab a hold of her pulling her out of the water.

Ellie sucked in air, she looked around to see Max carrying her out of the water. She looked at Max seeing the sadden look on his face, she of course moved closer to his body as the warmth radiated from his body.

"Okay, that was not fun. And I'm never doing that again." Ellie said, shutting her eyes.

"Good, then let me take you home." Max told her, walking across the rocks.

"Yeah, do what you gotta do. Just keep me warm."

"I can do that."

As Max moved closer to his car, he passed Sam. He sent his cousin a nod, soon receiving one from him in return. Max walked towards the car, opening the door, and placing Ellie in the passenger side. Once he was in he turned his car on and drove Ellie back to her home.
