━━━━━ ELLIE GASPED AS her car flipped down the hill, but soon it came to a stop. She turned her head to see a tree that had managed to catch her car. She looked around seeing some broken glass surrounding her.
Ellie lifted her hand up to her buckle, she attempted to loosen it so she could get out of the car before anything more happened. A noise came from outside her car, she turned her head around looking for the noise.
"Help." She called out hoping it was someone.
The figure kneeled down in front of her, causing her to struggle to get out of the car. "Remember me?" Victoria asked her.
"Leave me alone." Ellie screamed out as Victoria stood up and walked around her car. "I'm in this mess because of you?"
"Exactly, smart girl. Too bad you won't get to live your life. Or live the life you wanted to spend with the Doctor."
Victoria taunted her as she pushed away from the tree watching as it began to roll down the hill towards the river. Ellie got out of her buckled as her car landed in the river, hitting her head on her steering wheel.
Slowly closing her eyes she drifted off as water started to come into her car. The Cullen's ─ minus Edward ─ they sat in the living room doing their own thing, Alice gasped, everyone looked over at her as she looked at Carlisle.
"What's wrong, Alice?" Jasper asked her.
"It's Ellie." Alice told the group.
"Is she okay?" Carlisle asked her as panic began to fill his face.
"I saw her car drive off the side of the road, she was stopped by a tree but someone pushed her away from the tree and her car landed in the river."
She watched as Carlisle stood up and walked out of the room. Emmett, Alice, and Jamie followed after him.
"Do you know where she drove off the road?" Carlisle asked her.
"Yes."
"I should have driven her home, this shouldn't have happened."
"None of this is your fault Carlisle."
They arrived at the crash moving down to the river seeing Ellie's car flipped over in the water. Carlisle moved to the driver's side kneeling down to see Ellie laying in the water blood surrounding her.
The four vampires turned her car around, Carlisle broke the glass opening the drivers door, climbing in he picked up Ellie as the water fell back into the river. Getting her out of the car he moved her over to the ground and began CPR.
Alice looked around noticing wolves on the other side of the river, looking down on the vampires and the human. Astrid, Edward and Bella came running down into the woods.
"Oh, no, Ellie." Bella yelled as she slid to a stop next to her body, watching Carlisle continue CPR.
"What the hell happened?" Astrid asked, looking over at Alice.
"She was in a car accident. Someone caused it but I couldn't see who it was." Alice explained.
"Sam, wants to know if she's going to be okay?" Edward asked Carlisle.
"I don't know, I can't feel a pulse." Carlisle responded. "Breathe. Just breathe, El. I can't lose you." Carlisle said as he continued to bring her back to life.
"Please, don't leave me El." Bella said, speaking softly, grabbing her hand and holding it close to her chest.
Tears started to pull at the rim of Bella's eyes, as Carlisle stopped doing CPR. He moved backwards, everyone's eyes fell on the human including the wolves. Ellie coughed as water came out of her mouth, Carlisle moved back over top Ellie looking in her brown eyes. Ellie placed her free hand on Carlisle's face, as a small smile appeared at her lips.
"I'm cold." Ellie said, causing the group to laugh. Edward looked over at the wolves as they disappeared into the woods.
"Are you okay?" Bella asked Ellie who looked at her.
"Yeah, my head hurts." She paused. "Can we go back to your place?" Ellie asked, looking over at Carlisle.
"Yes, we can." Carlisle replied as he lifted Ellie off the ground, carrying her up the car.
Edward picked up Bella, using his speed the two made it to the car before Carlisle and Ellie did. Astrid ran to the house with Alice, Emmett and Jamie. The rest of the family came out as Edward pulled his car to a stop, Edward got out opening the door for Carlisle, then moved over to Bella as they moved Ellie into the house up to Carlisle's work office.
"Can I please get some warm clothes and a blanket?" Ellie asked Carlisle as she rubbed her hands up and down her arms.
As on cue, Esme walked in with those things, only because Edward knew she had been thinking about it since she got into the car.
"Thank you, Esme." Ellie said, watching Carlisle grab some towels.
"You're welcome, I'm glad you're okay." Esme said, walking over to the door.
Carlisle turned around and looked at Ellie. "I'm going to stitch up your head and then I'll wait outside so you can get changed." Carlisle explained to her. Ellie nodded in response watching as Carlisle walked up to her and began to stitch up her head.
"Victoria was there." Ellie said, looking up at Carlisle's golden eyes.
"What?" He asked, finishing up the stitches.
"Victoria was the one that caused my accident. She wanted to get rid of me." Ellie replied.
"Eventually we'll catch her and stop her. But until then I don't want you going anywhere unless you're with someone who can protect you."
"Okay fine. Can I get out of these clothes now?"
"Yes, I'll be outside." Carlisle responded, looking at the brunette. "I'll also drive you home and stay with you until you fall asleep."
"Okay. I'll be out in a bit." Ellie said, watching as Carlisle exited out of the room.
Once he was gone she took off her wet clothes changing into warmer clothes and wrapped the blanket around her. Carlisle wrapped his arm around her waist pulling her closer to him as they walked out to his car to go back to the Swan household.
