━━━━━ ELLIE HAD TOLD Charlie that she would be staying at Astrid's place for a bit and later on she would be spending time with both Bella and Alice the rest of the weekend. But she knew that Alice had already told him they're plans.
Ellie also knew that Carlisle had to go hunting to gear off for the battle so she decided it would be best to spend some quality time with Astrid instead. Ellie walked around Astrid's house looking at the books that she had collected over the years. Astrid walked back into the room handing her a cup of coffee.
"So, do you like the books?" She asked, looking over at Ellie.
"I really do. I didn't know you had this many books." Ellie taking a sip of the coffee.
"Yes, well, I've collected them over the years. Most of these books are extremely old." Astrid informed her as she walked over to her couch sitting down.
Ellie turned around following behind Astrid as she moved towards her couch. Sitting down next to her she crossed her legs, while she thought of something they could talk about. However, a question popped into her head.
"Do you think vampires could, if they wanted to, get a human pregnant?" Ellie asked, causing Astrid to choke on her drink briefly.
"What?" She asked, placing her coffee down on the table.
"Do you think vampires could get humans pregnant?" Ellie asked her again, changing the words around. Astrid looked at her as she suddenly became more serious.
"I'm not entirely sure. I mean vampires are technically dead, so how would that even happen?" Astrid asked after explaining the vampire situation. "What brought this up?" Astrid proceeded to ask her, becoming curious, she tilted her staring at Ellie.
"I don't know, lately I've been having this weird dream. I started having this recurring dream after Carlisle left, and since he's returned it's appeared more frequently. It's part of the reason why I haven't been getting much sleep." Ellie explained to her while taking another sip of coffee. Astrid nodded her head.
"Can you tell me about this dream?" Astrid asked, watching as the brunette nodded her head in response.
"So, I'll fall asleep, and wind up in this dream where I see myself on a table and Carlisle arguing with me about how he doesn't want me to go through something and how he doesn't want to lose me. The last time I had this dream I swear I saw an ultrasound on the table next to my foot." Ellie explained her dream becoming slightly paranoid about her future.
"Maybe, it's just your gift acting up. I mean we still don't know what you're capable of, and it seems that you most likely have a very powerful gift that can already predict your future." Astrid replied, attempting to solve the situation.
"Yeah, maybe." Ellie spoke softly as another question popped in her head.
"Did you know that Max has feelings for me?" She asked, staring at her friend waiting for a response.
Astrid began shaking her head back and forth as she formed an answer. "I kind of felt like something was up with him, but, no I didn't know he had feelings for you." Ellie looked at Astrid watching as her expression suddenly changed which had been odd. "Carlisle's here." Astrid spoke as she stood up walking towards the door.
Ellie stood up from the couch following behind her as Astrid opened the door to reveal Carlisle standing outside.
"I'll just give you a few minutes alone." Astrid spoke as she headed towards the kitchen after grabbing her cup.
"What are you doing here? I thought you were hunting with your family?" Ellie asked, looking at the blond vampire. He walked inside, closing the door, pulling her into a hug.
"I just wanted to see you before I went back. Since I won't be able to see you until after the battle." Carlisle informed her.
A smile on his face as he looked down at her. Ellie grasped Carlisle's hand pulling him over to the couch. The two sat down near each other staring into one another's eyes. She continued to hold onto Carlisle's hand.
"So, what's the real reason you came here?" Ellie asked him, looking down at their hands. He briefly looked down at their hands, soon looking back at Ellie.
"After all this is over I want to take you somewhere, just two weeks, you and me alone. What do you say?" Carlisle asked her, watching as the brunette lifted her head to stare back at him.
"You and me, alone for two weeks, after an army of newborns tried to get to me and Bella. I'd say I'm in, two weeks alone with you would be amazing." She replied, moving closer to him.
"Great." He spoke softly, locking his lips on Ellie's, kissing her softly, but compassionately.
Astrid couldn't be more happy that the two were planning a trip to get away from everything. After everything that had already happened, they really deserve it. She knew that Ellie would be perfectly safe and wouldn't have to worry for the duration of the two weeks.
