━━━━━ ELLIE LIFTED HERSELF up from the bed, rubbing her hand over her face, she pushed herself to the edge of the bed. She walked over to her closet pulling out her running clothes and shoes. Getting dressed she braided her hair so it was out of her way, while she went on the run. Opening her door she walked out of her room heading over to the front door.
"Going for a run?" Charlie asked, causing the brunette to jump slightly in her skin.
"Yeah, and then I'm gonna head to work. Some new books came in today." Ellie spoke looking back at Charlie.
"Well, you be safe El." Charlie replied.
Ellie nodded in response, opening the door heading down the steps. Looking around at her surroundings, she passed Bella's truck and began running. Coming up to her bookstore in her running clothes she unlocked the door.
Walking in she turned the closed sign to open. Ellie grabbed some books off the shelf moving them into the back. Not long after arriving at her book store new books were delivered.
"You can leave them there, thanks." Ellie told him, watching as he nodded his head and doing as told.
Walking back to her office she looked at some papers. A noise came from the front pulling Ellie out of her thoughts, grabbing the pepper spray from her bag. Walking out of the small room she moved from bookshelf to bookshelf; eventually coming to a stop noticing books all over the floor.
"What the hell?" She asked herself looking down at the books.
Moving down the row she began picking up the books. Not entirely sure how it happened she placed the books back on the shelf. The bell at the top of the door rang causing Ellie to peep her head out of the shelves to see Carlisle standing there with food in his hands. A smile fell onto her face, walking out towards the counter.
"One, I thought you didn't eat? Two, what are you doing here?" Ellie asked. Carlisle chuckled, placing the food on the table.
"No, I don't. But Bella told Edward that you hadn't eaten since yesterday. So, Edward called me and told me. I wanted to see if you would like to come play baseball with my family today?" Carlisle explained looking at Ellie.
The brunette moved towards the food, a big smile on her face. "I would love to. So the weirdest thing happened to me today." She spoke, taking a bite of the food.
"What do you mean?" Carlisle asked in return.
"Oh, um some books fell from the shelves. But I don't know how because nobody has been in for a while." Ellie explained.
"That's odd." He replied, looking at the shelves.
"I know. It's not the first time it's happened though." Ellie added, taking another bite of her food.
"It's happened before?" Carlisle asked her.
"Yeah. Like a few days ago a book about telekinesis fell off the shelf." Ellie replied.
"It was very odd. But it was actually an interesting book. I pretty much stayed up all night reading it. Telekinesis is a very interesting ability to have." Ellie said, rambling on as Carlisle nodded in response. "Are we going back to your place?" Ellie looked at Carlisle as she waited for a response.
"Yes, I have to change but we can stop by your place so you can get changed, if you want too." Carlisle told her, looking at her running clothes.
"Okay, well I have to grab some things from the back and then we can leave. Isn't there a thunderstorm today?" Ellie asked, moving off the chair.
"Yes there is and you'll see why we play baseball like that." Carlisle replied.
"Okay." Ellie said giggling slightly.
Moving to the back she began packing up some things. Grabbing a hold of her bag she walked out of the back room heading over to Carlisle who had been waiting by the door.
"Alright, I'm ready to go." She said, grabbing the keys out of her pocket.
Carlisle opened the door allowing Ellie to walk through. Heading out after her he shut the door, moving out of the way Ellie locked the door up. Turning back around she followed Carlisle over to his car, watching as he opened the passenger door allowing her in. Once in she buckled up, awaiting for their drive to begin.
