━━━━━ ELLIE WATCHED CARLISLE disappear in the night leaving her behind. Unsure of what to do she began to follow behind him. Pain surged through her body, as tears fell down her face. Eventually she fell to the ground, an energy surge rushed out of her body knocking down a few surrounding trees.

Ellie jumped upwards, looking around her room as the moonlight filled her room. Breathing in heavily she tossed her covers to the side, then she turned her body placing her feet on the cold brisk floor. Walking over to her phone she picked it up from the dresser and dialed Carlisle's number.

After a few rings, his voice could be heard, only it was his voice mail. She missed hearing him talk more than anything, and she wanted him to come back home. Carlisle leaving had really affected her, and she wasn't sure if she would make it.

"I know you know this, but it's now October. My birthday will be coming around pretty soon. It also happens to be my favorite month because of Halloween. Once again I had the same dream, though it was shorter this time. I miss you so much, and wish that you would come back home. I just can't seem to get you off my mind no matter what I do. Goodbye, Carlisle." Ellie ended the call placing her phone back on the dresser.

Ellie walked back over to the bookshelf that stood tall near the entrance of her room. She grabbed another book on telekinesis, heading back over to her bed she climbed into the bed pulling the covers over her she began to read it. She found it difficult to concentrate on the words, when the only thing that seemed to run through her mind was Carlisle.

Light had started to fill her room, she knew at some point she would eventually have to go into work. She knew she had promised Astrid that she would go in but she still couldn't bring herself to do anything. While Charlie worried for Bella and her state, he also worried for Ellie and what she might possibly do.

Astrid on the other hand was letting her people down, even though she was the only one left. She knew she would eventually have to tell Ellie who she was and why she was there, but she needed Ellie to get out of the state she was in. Ellie climbed off her bed walking over to her closet, she grabbed her running clothes.

Once they were on she grabbed her socks and shoes, slipping into them as well. Moving from her bed she walked over to her window, opening it up she climbed out of it. Jumping on the ground she turned back towards the window closing it behind her, sometimes if she didn't want to wake Bella or Charlie she would exit out of the house through her window.

Most of the time when she did that Charlie knew she was going on a run to clear her thoughts. She picked up running shortly after her parents had died, and most of the time if she had disappeared Charlie knew where she had gone. Turning away from the house she began running her normal route to the graveyard to see her parents.

Meanwhile Astrid climbed up the steps of the Swan household, hoping to convince Ellie to come into work for the day. Stopping in front of the door she lifted her hand knocking on the glass, waiting for someone to answer. A few seconds had passed, Charlie walked to the front door opening it to see Astrid standing in front of him.

She didn't have her face covered, and that was because Charlie had known about the scar that rested on her face. "Come on in, Astrid. I'll go check her room." Charlie said as he moved to the side allowing the woman to come in.

After closing the door Charlie proceeded to walk over to Ellie's room. Placing his hand on the door knob he turned it, pushing the door open to reveal an empty room. Sighing, he turned back around, walking back over to Astrid.

"She probably went on a run, which means she went to the graveyard to visit her parents." Charlie explained, Astrid nodded her head turning back towards the door. "Good luck." Charlie added, closing the door behind her.

Astrid walked back to her car, once she was in she pulled out of the driveway heading to the graveyard to find Ellie. The human came to a stop walking into the graveyard, heading towards her parents gravestones. Once there she sat down on the ground looking between the stones.

The brunette moved some leaves out of the way as she stared at the names of her father and mother. Ellie lowered her head to the stone, closing her eyes and listening to the noises around her. Astrid pulled into the parking spot, searching the area for Ellie. She noticed that the human wasn't far from the entrance, turning off her car.

She kept an eye on Ellie as the brunette stared at her parents' gravestones. As she scanned the area, in the distance she saw someone not far from Ellie. Squinting her eyes she saw that the figure was a woman. Astrid pulled out her phone sending a small text to Max indicating that he needed to get to the graveyard. She wasn't ready to give her secret away just yet.

"Hello Ellie." The brunette lifted her head, when she heard a woman call out to her.

She picked herself up from the ground, looking to see someone whom she thought was supposed to be dead. She walked towards the woman looking to see if what she was actually seeing was real.

"No. You're supposed to be dead." Ellie said, looking at the woman.

She moved closer to Ellie, before she could attack the human Max came out of the trees in his wolf form advancing towards the woman. Astrid unbuckled herself, climbing out of the car. She proceeded to run over to Ellie wrapping her arms around the brunette pulling her towards her.

"Come on, we have to get you out of here." Astrid announced pushing Ellie in front of her.

Ellie looked back at Max as he attacked the woman, she was moving like a vampire so it only meant one thing, her mother never died. Ellie ran to the passenger side, opening the door and climbing into Astrid's car. Astrid opened her side of the car, climbing in; she buckled herself up and turned the car on. Looking back she pulled out of the parking lot getting Ellie to safety.

"She's supposed to be dead, Astrid. Why isn't she dead?" Ellie asked, whilst trying to calm herself down.

"I don't know, El. But I promise we'll figure it out. First I need to get you out of here and away from her." Astrid said, turning the car around and driving down the road.

Ellie looked at Astrid taking in the words that she had spoken, Ellie was confused and not sure what Astrid knew, if she knew about vampires and wolves.
