In about 3 weeks, RRFF is going to return...*internal screaming*

Anyways, how about some more RRFF-related thoughts that keep me up at night? :D Enjoy!

I'm going to talk a lot about Chapter 20 "Dark, Dark" in this installment, so if you found that chapter uncomfortable, feel free to skip this. Stay safe!

(btw, I will make that recap summary of RRFF soon!)

***

In Chp 17 "An Unexpected Ally," Guardian blinds Memory and prevents him from teleporting by putting a blindfold on him. But Sabre, who wears a blindfold all the time, is able to see clearly. So why can't Memory see through a blindfold while Sabre can?

Maybe like Memory, Sabre actually can't see through the blindfold. However, since he's a player, Elan the human can see just fine because his actual eyes aren't being covered. Plus, Sabre is able to see in 3rd person as a player, which also makes the blindfold useless.

But that creates a new question: if the account is the reason why Sabre can see through the blindfold, why is Sabre still able to see his surroundings after Reality stole his account?

***

Another blindfold-related question: Reality knows he can enter 3rd person with the account. So is he immune to the blindfold too?

Also, what if the account makes Reality unable to sleep? Reality technically can't close his eyes if he has the account because the player doesn't sleep when the avatar does. Is he unable to fall asleep while he has the account? Is this another reason why he struggled sleeping during Act 2? Oh my, when was the last time he had a good night's rest?

(pre Objective 4)

Me: *rewatching the episodes where Alex goes crazy and chases after Time and Sabre*

Alex in that episode: *breaks the cave and the timeline leaks in because she figured out how to control/freeze time*

Me: ...I forgot that happened.

My brain: So.....Are we gonna acknowledge that in RRFF?

Me:

Me: No.

Me: *adds a note to rewrite Chapter 36 later*

Galaxy got his memories back after defeating Void.

Why didn't Time and child Illusion explore the memory part of Galaxy's head while they were living there?

If they explored Galaxy's memories...maybe they would have found Galaxy's old interactions with Memory...

I just realized the 3 women who Memory and Time respect all have names that start with "A" (Alex, Athena, Artemis). I was about to make a theory that Memory thinks all women who have a name that starts with "A" are rad, but then I remembered Aphrodite exists and he definitely does not think Aphrodite is cool.

btw, yes, Memory does think Alex is a goddess because of how rare Alex's are in the Steve Saga server. Yes, I recognized I missed an opportunity to make Memory geek out about meeting Alex. He admired Athena and Artemis as a child, and if he was more outgoing, he would have definitely freaked out if he saw Alex do something epic.

Alright, here's a lightning round of all my headscratchers for Chapter 20, specifically about the scene where Memory gets buried alive by Sabre, rip.

-why didn't Memory just teleport to the Memory Dimension to escape the sphere? He can teleport to his Dimension without a door.

-If Memory can create a custom entrance to the Memory Dimension (as seen in Chp 18), why didn't he customize an open entrance? Instead, he created a copy of the sphere to be trapped in.

- When Memory got buried alive, the space was described as dark. But Memory had a quiver of arrows of light with him. So why didn't the arrows of light provide...well, light in this dark space? Are these arrows not actually made out of light? Do they reflect sunlight instead and don't glow in places where there's no light? Are they made out of reflective glass?

Yeah, I have way too many thoughts about Chapter 20 now after all these headscratchers, rip.

I have a question: Is Chapter 20 a plot-hole-infested chapter that ignores logic and simple solutions just to put Memory through a bunch of angst? Or is Chapter 20 a demonstration of how a broken man can break himself more - often against reason - when he's never been taught how to calm his anxiety and trauma?

Everyone comments that Memory is unaware that his Steve Saga episodes have over 100k views. But no one comments that Memory is unaware that by hanging out with Reality (the account holder), he's still being on camera for the Steve Saga.

Reality is recording everything when he has the account. So by hanging out with Reality, Memory is spending more time on screen for the Steve Saga and revealing SO much more personal stuff than ever before.

The Sky People will see this stuff. The Sky People will eventually see the episodes in Reality's pov and see so much of Memory.

Oh, it would be a shame if Memory discovered this terrifying truth.

On a lighter note, it's possible that Sabre will be nice enough to edit Season 2's recordings heavily to get rid of the stuff Memory is uncomfortable sharing before he uploads the episodes. "RRFF is Scripted AU" confirmed?

Why did Elemental have a Wizard Phase? He's an incredibly powerful person from a family of space/time-benders. So why did he pretend to be a different magical entity for a phase? I think the fact that he did have a wizard phase implies that he thinks wizards are 200% cooler than being someone who can control time and space.

Maybe because space/time magic has become so normalized to Elemental, he personally doesn't see his powers as special, so he went through a wizard phase to feel more special.

Quick tangent: I want to share a behind-the-scene fact: Why did I decide to make Elemental have a wizard phase? I'm going to be honest...making Elemental have a wizard phase was a last minute edit that I didn't put any thought into. I literally just added it into Chapter 23 minutes before posting it. So I'm genuinely shocked that this improv edit was received so well by my readers XD You guys surprise me in many ways.

And finally, the last headscratcher of the day.

So, some readers interpret that Memory speaks with a British accent.

But if he's supposed to have a British accent, why does he say "Oh my Colors" instead of "Oh my Colours" when he swears?

...I apologize to my fellow British English writers, but I couldn't resist the joke XD

RRFF has been an illusion all this time. There is no British accent. But RRFF is not scripted. RRFF is an illusion, but it isn't scripted. Got it?
