Third person POV

The two tall men ran through the trees. Making their way home the fast way. But the taller one looked down and saw the baby looking up at him with those odd neon blue eyes. He raised an eyebrow. But he chuckled softly when he saw the gummy smile she gave him. He shook his head. She is definitely something. She sure is an interesting little thing. But he knew she would be more interesting then any humans he's ever encountered. Especially when he knew the bond they already had with one another. He knew he shared the same bond with his maker with the baby. He didn't mind it. But he didn't know what it was. Maybe his maker would?

He shrugged it off. He'll deal with his questions later. First they had to her home. She was cold and wet, but he had a feeling that she would spend most of her time with them in the water. I mean they found her on the beach, she was in a basket made out of seaweed. The letter was made out of waterproof paper. She must be from the water. Mermaid. But also human? At least half. That's what the letter had said, did it not? He had many questions about this tiny little thing. But for now, she was under the protection of him and his maker, and no one shall hurt her. Or they deal with him and his maker. He knew Isobel would like the idea of having a child around. Since she could not have children of her own. He sighed and continued to run after his maker.

It did not take them not longer when they could run as fast. They soon made it to the house they were occupying for awhile for their nest. Only for a while. Humans did not know of them. They couldn't be found out. Godric, Eric's maker. Unlocked the door with a special key. They entered to see the lights on. As soon as they stepped into the house, Isabel, one of their nest mates stood before them. Her eyes widened at the sight of them, but not really of them. But at the baby in Eric's arms. "A human child, What use do you have of her?", she asked them. Godric shook his head. "She is not completely human, she is half human and half mermaid. She was saved by her mother whom was saving her from her people, since she had a child with a human, we decided that we would bring her here, where she is safe and under our protection", Godric said sternly. He didn't leave any room for arguing. He then turned to Eric. "Find the smallest Fish tank you can find", he said to his Childe. Eric nodded and vanished the minute his maker asked of him.

Godric then turned back to Isabel. "Me and Eric have a special bond with the child, and the good thing is, is that she sleeps during the day and is awake during the night. So we do not have to worry about her being up
During the day. She will tend to grow on you, but for now, she is now apart of this nest. And again under mine and Eric's protection", Godric said. Isabel only nodded, since she could not go against godrics word. She then tilted her head as she saw the way Godric looked down at the child. He held her gently, but yet tightly. As if he were a new father holding his daughter for the first time. She smiled a little bit when she saw the smile on his lips when he thought she weren't looking. It was.........cute. But soon enough, Eric had came back with a fish tank, full of......salt water? Isabel wrinkled her nose at the scent of salt water.

She watched in awe as Godric unwrapped the child from the jacket. He slowly walked over to the table that had the tank. He hesitated but then set her into the water. He stood guard, As if she would drown if he wasn't there. If she looked like she were to drown, he would take her from the tank. The three of them watched as the baby slowly floated to the bottom of the tank. If they had hearts, well they would be pounding against their chests right about now.

They wondered why it was not working. But they were wrong, it was working. Slowly. They're eyes widened when they saw the transformation of legs turning into a tail. A black tail. Isabel looked at Eric and godric in shock. It was written all over her face. She then turned back to the baby. Who seemed to be swimming around in the tank. She had a smile on her lips as she swam around. She then pressed her hand to the tank wall.

"What in the holy fuck is that?", they heard a voice behind them. They turned around to see Stan. With confusion and shock all over his face. Godric turned to his underling. "She is ours. Mine and Eric's. She is half human and half mermaid. Hurt her and you will be punished. She is under the protection of not only me but also Eric's, she will be staying with us", Godric said sternly as he looked at his underling with stern eyes. Daring him to argue. Stan only stood there, but soon slowly nodded. "Just don't let her get in my way. If she does, then we will have problems", he said.

Not only did Godric and Eric growl at him, but so did Isabel. She marched over to him. She poked him hard in the chest. "You will not lay a finger on that child, she is also under my protection as well, you hurt her, and I will stake you in your sleep", she said as she growled at the man she called her nest mate. Stan only smirked and raised his hands in fake surrender. "Fine, fine. I won't touch her", he said with a smirk on his lips. He then proceeded to make his way out of the room. Isabel narrowed her eyes as she watched him leave. And once she made sure he was gone from the room, she turned back to Godric and Eric. "If it is alright with you, I would like her to be under my protection as well", she said. She was asking permission only because she knew it was uncommon for a human or whatever they were to have more then one vampire protector, especially three. But the minute she met the little itty bitty child. She felt a connection with her. Like a motherly bond with her child.

She waited for a long minute before Godric even said anything. He hummed. Before responding to his underling. "I do not see why not, it would do us some good to have extra protection towards the child. She will need a motherly figure in her life. And seeing as were men, you can see the problem", Godric said with a half assed smile on his lips. Both Eric and Isabel seemed in surprise, it wasn't too often that Godric smiled and not often he made jokes. Since he is very old.

But the house already felt warm and homey. It ''twas the child who has brought out the good in them.
