It has been almost a week since Irene and Jason last had a meeting regarding their project together, they occasionally met in school and there was something changing between them. Jason was his usual flirtatious self and liked to tease her from time to time but they both have grown a feeling of understanding between them now. Beginning of a friendship, maybe......
"Hey my little grumpy bear!" Samuel greeted as he saw Irene enter the hallway and ran to her.
"Hey! Sammy!" She cheekily said.
"Someone is in a good mood" he smirked at her and hugged her.
"Yes! Just a nice day, i guess" she shrugged smiling.
"Did u started your economics project yet?" He asked trying to strike up a conversation.
"Not really, me and Jason just talked about how we will go about it" she nodded to herself, explaining as she thought they should start soon.
"Oh.... You are with him huh?" He thought to himself.
"Don't say it like that! it sounds weird" she looked at him furrowing her eyebrows together annoyed.
"Weird? How exactly?" He questioned confused, tapping one figure on his chin.
"It sounds as if I am 'with him' you know" she said pressuring the words.
"But you are with me, love" Jason came from behind tapping her shoulder.
"Shut up" she gave a annoyed look as he just teased her.
Samuel witnessed the whole exchange and spoke, "wow! You guys seem close" he eyed both of them suspiciously.
"Don't think too much" Irene flicked Samuel's forehead, he winced making a hiss sound.
"Hey! Jason!" Suddenly out of nowhere Ray came, Irene's attention went to him,
" Hey man! How are you doing?" He lightly hugged him from one side.
Samuel was aware of her little crush on Ray that she never admitted.
"Hey...." Ray politely greeted Irene, she just nodded her head slightly smiling.
From behind someone wrapped their hands around Ray's waist he turned his head to look at Serena. They both looked at each other smiling.
Serena casually greeted everyone.
"You guys are dating or.....? Jason trailed off letting the question hanged to be answered, eyeing Ray smirking at him.
"Yes...." Ray answered taking a deep sigh and smiling admiring Serena, she smiled.
"I'm gonna go now" Irene spoke gesturing towards the classes.
After few minutes Ray went away with his girlfriend to his way. Jason and Samuel were the only ones left.
Samuel sighed deeply, looking at his feet thinking how Irene must have felt, she never caught feelings but when she does they are too strong so it's difficult for her to let go as she keeps denying, there is no acceptance and you can't get over anything until you accept it.
Jason noticed and decided to ask out of curiosity, "what's wrong?".
"What do you mean?" Samuel didn't knew he noticed.
"You have this look on your face and you are sighing so loudly" Jason said gesturing his hands at him.
"It's nothing" he shrugged, he didn't knew how close Jason was to Irene so he decided to be cautious.
They made their way to their classes and the day began.
*********
Everyone was leaving as it was the end of the school, Irene stood in front of her locker putting some books inside.
