It has been weeks since i last had a decent conversation with Jason. Thankfully i was too focused on our finals so it didn't bother me that much till now.
The finals are over and we have our farewell, a dance and i need to find a partner and no matter how much i want it to be him I don't know if i still have the right to ask him that.
I got everything as i planned, the college i will go to and what i would be doing to get a good career everything just as i wanted it to be but just one thing that i wished didn't come true, the one thing that i never planned, him.
I sighed plopping down on my bed soon i heard my mother calling me from downstairs so i made my way down lazily.
"What is it, Ma?" I spoke rubbing my eyes as i felt a little sleepy.
"Look what we got you!" She pulled my arm and took me into the hall there was a shopping bag laying on the couch.
"What did you get me?" I asked curiously
My mother pulled out a beautiful white dress, it was below the knee and full sleeved, a V-cut neckline and a waistband.
"Wow! Mom it's so beautiful" i smiled looking at it just then my brother came from the kitchen smiling at my happy state."I am glad you like it" he smiled looking over me.
"It was your brother's choice" my mother informed me while i waved my hand over the dress admiring it with a smile on my face.
"What's the occasion?" I asked at the sudden surprise.
"For your dance. You said you were having your farewell and will have a dance don't you?" My brother asked and i nodded realising that i indeed have a dance that i must attend because Samuel won't let me go otherwise and i dreaded seeing Jason.
"Thankyou so much. I really love it" i told my mom and brother they both were happy that i liked it and I don't want to ruin it by my sad state.
I came back to my room after having dinner with my family, i took the dress and hung it inside my wardrobe.
I layed down in my bed exhausted and shut my eyes with only one thing on my mind tomorrow, it has to go good, i hope it is good.
With that thought i soon fell into a deep slumber.

Third Person's POV
The whole day Irene kept herself distracted with preparation for the evening dance, taking a bath, hair and dress, simple tasks but keeping herself occupied.
Soon the time came amd she prepared to leave checking herself for the last time in front of the mirror to see if she looks decent.
"Okay! Nice! I should be fine!" With that she left and went downstairs.
"Are you going alone? Don't you have a partner?" Her mother asked.
"No mom. But don't worry i have Sam there and it's just for a few hours i will socialize here and there" she explained going towards the front door.
"What about that Jason guy? I thought you would go with him, he is nice." Her mother said thinking to herself and Irene halted her steps at the mention of his name.
She sighed, " he will be there too mom" she tried to sound normal.
"I will drive you there then" her brother got up from the couch who was just sitting and listening all this while.
She nodded smiling, "thank you, ash" he smiled back kissing her forehead and took his car keys and jacket leaving alongside her.
After the drive to the school which went with a few small conversation they reached and Irene got out of the car with her brother following behind her.
"You look beautiful. Don't let those horny teenagers lay a finger on you, if you need anything call me okay" he led her to the gates and kissed her on the forehead again before bidding her goodbye and driving away.
She smiled at her brother's remark on teenagers and the caring gesture he always does before leaving her, a kiss on the forehead.
Taking a deep breath she entered the gates to the school and was instantly overwhelmed by all the lighting and music.
She made her way to the main hall where the dance was supposed to take place and saw one corner filled with food counters and the other had a stage with mics and speakers. The middle was wide open for dancing, she noticed only few people were dancing.
"Hey grumpy bear!" Samuel on spotting her quickly engulfed her into a bug hug.
"You look so beautiful, you should dress up more" he said surprised.
"Thank you, Sammy" she gave a polite smile.
"You look great in that suit too, a very handsome gentleman." Irene complimented him back.
"Who did you came here with?" He asked to which she shook her head as no.
"What about you?" She asked cheerfully instead of killing the mood.
"Linda..." He scratched the back of his head nervously.
"Seriously her! Well.... I guess she is polite i talked to her a few times she takes the same bus as me. I just hope you enjoy your time" she gave him a pat on the back cheering him up.
"Yeah.... Well i guess i better go up to her then. See you later and enjoy please!" He pressured the last words she knew what he meant.
She sighed looking at her surroundings and smiled as her eyes landed on Samuel and Linda.
"It looks like they are having fun" she smiled admiring them close to each other, giggling and whispering into each others ears.
"Hey Irene." Ray came over to her and she turned to acknowledge him, he looked handsome as well in a black suit she politely smiled.
"You look lovely today" he said gesturing at her dress.
"Likewise" she smiled, just then she felt a hand sliding on her waist.
She turned to look at that one boy who made her heart flutter and she couldn't help but smile.
"She does look beautiful, everyday." He gave her a cheeky smile pulling her closer and she gladly came close.
"You two came together i presume" Ray concluded.
"Yeah, we did" looking over from Irene after giving her a quick glance he smiled at Ray.
"Yeah" Irene spoke softly looking over at Jason, his face still charming and in a black suit he was absolutely stunning but she adored his eyes as he smiled, his bunny smile that made her smile as well.
