Next day in school Jason and Irene didn't talk to each other, she wasn't even able to look him in the eye whenever they passed by each other she still thought that she made a mistake and everything was her fault like she always do.
"Come on I'll take you home" Samuel offered as Irene walked alongside him.
"No i will go by myself today, thankyou Sam" she smiled as she waved him goodbye and walked away.
He sighed, he knew she was upset about what happened with Jason.
"Hey can i talk to you?" Jason came from behind and received a angry look from Samuel.
"I want to talk to you as well and you better explain if you don't want our friendship to go down" he spoke with a strict tone.
"I know i messed up" Jason gave defeated look and continued, "but you know she tried to talk to my ex when she clearly shouldn't have! What is wrong with her?"
"That's how she is like! You know how much she thought of ways to cheer you up! She didn't wanted a friend to be sad because of her it was a misunderstanding and she wanted to clear it up!" Samuel explained, very irritated at Jason.
"Why would she do that? Why does she always do such things? I never asked her! So why?" Jason in frustration pulled his hair back.
"Because for her that's just how relationship works, you work for them! You have a problem you solve it! Talk it out! Help each other. It doesn't matter if you are in a romantic relationship or platonic, nothing works without trying" Samuel explained, for Irene every relationship was precious for her she only had few but she cherished all of them.
"Why do you think i brought you to her house to hangout? Because she asked me to! Because she wanted to cheer you up! Because you are her friend!" Jason just listened to Samuel speak as he felt how sensitive she is about everything.
"I didn't knew she was this sensitive" Jason finally spoke in a low voice looking at the ground.
"She is not sensitive it's just she has some reasons just like everybody else" Samuel explained.
Now Jason felt more guilty and he wanted nothing more than to make her feel better, to know her better than anyone else. He wanted to talk to her, hear her voice.

A week has already passed and Irene still doesn't talk to Jason without being formal, they are barely able to exchange a few words before she ends the conversation apologizing, everytime.
"What should I do?" Jason mumbled to himself.
"About what?" Ray came from behind. They were at a party as it was a Friday night. Jason wasn't so thrilled about coming but he couldn't stop thinking about what he should do about his situation. He thought maybe he could get his mind off and just relax but here he is, sitting and thinking.
"Nothing" Jason shrugged as he gulped down a whole cup of liquor.
"Woah! Something sure is up!" Ray asked raising a eyebrow at him.
"What should i do?" He whined.
"Tell me what happened? Maybe i can help" Ray offered.
"No...." Jason sighed pouring himself another glass of alcohol.
"Oohhkayy..... " Taking the cup away from Jason, Ray spoke, "girl trouble?" .
"Girl trouble! She is so complicated! If it was girl trouble it wouldn't have been a problem believe me!" Jason spoke as he snatched the cup back from Ray.
