Elise and I were on the boats heading to the castle and when it appeared into view, my mouth dropped. I had never seen something so magnificent, and under the starry night, I admired the constellations I could see. We held candles to light the way - the whole experience was purely magical.
I loved stars; I always did. Their beauty was extraordinary, but I saw further than that. When I looked up at stars, I saw something beautiful - shining and illuminating the night - but if you looked closer, stars were clusters of flames, and soon, they would explode. They were magnificent.
I never knew why, but watching the stars always made me forget my worries. I would look up at them and simply smile, not a fake one, a pure, genuine smile.
George's Perspective
There she was, on the boat a little ahead of us, and she was beautiful...
She was looking up at the stars as if they were the only things that mattered, and I couldn't help but marvel at the sight. Her eyes shining in the candlelight, twinkling with the stars, her curls flowing, how she smiled at the sight, her dark skin illuminated and glowing, she was much more beautiful than the stars, she was gorgeous. She was just joining Hogwarts, how come she hadn't before?
I watched her for the rest of the trip to the castle, but I was sent out of my gaze when our carriages drove to another entrance of the castle, for returning students. A lot of us began heading into the castle and an eruption of 'wow' and 'ahs' came from almost every first year.
Time Jump - Sorting Ceremony - Althea's Perspective
We had finally arrived at Hogwarts, and after a long speech on the history and possibilities offered at Hogwarts, it was time for the sorting ceremony to begin. Nervous was an understatement. I had no clue as to what house I was going to be sorted into; Gryffindor for my courage and bravery, Hufflepuff for my kindness and honesty, (definitely not Hufflepuff for me), Ravenclaw for my intelligence and love for learning, or Slytherin for my brain and loyalty.
Before I knew it, names were being called out, but I couldn't help from dazing off. I was staring at the two twins, more specifically the one who had knocked me down twice when all of a sudden, I heard my name.
"Anders, Althea!" Said the witch called McGonagall. Shivering at the mention of my last name, I walked for what seemed like forever to the seat where all first-years had sat.
I put on the hat and was shocked when it started talking to me.
"Miss Anders, yes, yes, you have the qualities of many houses. I can put you in Gryffindor for your never-ending courage and strength, Slytherin for your loyalty and drive, or Ravenclaw for your wits and curiosity... Yes, very troubling indeed... RAVENCLAW!"
I somewhat felt relieved, I knew I would fit in perfectly into the calming and wise Ravenclaws, but now I worried about Elise. I knew that she would either be a Ravenclaw or a Hufflepuff. I felt as if my heart was going to beat out of my chest, if I didn't have Elise, I had no one.
"RAVENCLAW!" I breathed a sigh of relief, we were going to be ok, we had each other. I engulfed her in the biggest hug possible as she came to our table, and my eyes brimmed with impossible joy.
George's Perspective
Althea was sorted into Ravenclaw. I have to admit I was a bit disappointed we wouldn't get to be in the same house, but I knew that she was where she belonged. One question that rested in my mind was how she had introduced herself to us as Althea Jane, and yet the sorting hat called her Althea Anders. I looked over to where she was and saw how she reacted when this pretty and blushing blonde girl got sorted into Ravenclaw as well. I don't think I've ever seen anyone so happy in my life. She ran up to her and hugged her in the most heartwarming way, and I could see the glint in her eyes. You could tell that they loved each other, and I found myself smiling at her reaction.
