George's Perspective - Everything that happened yesterday plus a special surprise!
While I was eating breakfast with the others, I couldn't help but think of Althea. She lived in my dreams, heart, and soul.
When we saw the doors open and watched Elise pull a grumpy Althea, I couldn't help but smile. She hated mornings, I loved them, and despite being opposites, when I was with her it felt like we fit perfectly.
I leaned over to Fred and whispered, "I'm going to marry that girl someday."
Time Jump - Potions Class
The morning had gone well, with us spiking Althea's tea she was as happy as ever. "We found the secret George; the girl just needs some fire whiskey in her system." Fred whispered to me as we watched her, "Right we did Fred." I whispered back, chuckling.
When we got to class, she put on her glasses as usual and began reading a book called, "Wuthering Heights, by Jane Austen". Fred and I both decided that he would steal her glasses and see how she'd react and as we expected she cursed him with all the possible curses available to a witch.
The class passed and by the end of it Snape mentioned exams and I felt her stiffen at my side. I looked over to her but she hadn't changed, though I saw that her eyes had darkened.
When class was over the three of us began walking aimlessly through the halls with no class to go to when she told us she was going to go study in the library. We knew exactly what she was doing and we had both agreed to live up to our promise.
I was worried for her, she kept on trying to push us, me, away but I wouldn't let her. If you truly love someone you need to hold on, even if they try to let go.
I had told Fred what had happened, well just about the migraines and the return of her emotions towards what happened with Higgs and he was just as worried as I was. I noticed that he began getting closer to her, treating her like his sister which I loved. The fact that she got along with my twin meant the world.
When we got to the library, she did what Elise called 'hyper focus', and her nervous tics came out. We saw how her hand trembled, how she constantly cracked her knuckles, bit her lip to the point where it looked painful, and how rushed her writing appeared. We pretended to read a book and talk but we were both concerned for her, but we had no idea how to confront her about it.
I hadn't even noticed Fred and I had dozed off when we were splashed with ice-cold water. Realizing it was Althea we began chasing her through the halls, laughing at her hysterical laughter. I loved making her laugh.
Fred and I shared a sly look and took out the map, going in and out of secret passageways closer to her. When we finally found her, she was looking in the opposite direction and Fred used this as an opportunity to knock her off her feet.
Afterward, classes continued throughout the day and we resumed our normal activities - pranking gullible first years and filch.
It was finally time for our last class of the day which was Divination. We got into our seats and dozed off during her lesson. Althea, however, was writing notes and doing all her work plus some more, not that I was surprised.
What did surprise me, however, was when she put down her quill and glasses in a huff and rested her head on my shoulder. I loved when she did that.
I asked her if she was ok and she responded by saying she had a headache, and I knew it was because of the caffeine withdrawal. I decided to start humming a tune my mom used to sing to me when we were younger, knowing that it would ease the pain. I felt her relax on my side and peered down to see her eyes lightly closed. This was completely out of the ordinary for her, and I understood why she drank so much coffee - So she wouldn't fall asleep during class.
