Time Jump - January 30 (Althea's Birthday) - George's Perspective

Fred and I had spent the whole week planning Althea's birthday, and with the help of the girls, it would be amazing. Since it was a Saturday we figured it would be perfect timing to have a party so that the hangover is spent away on Sunday, and it would permit Althea to sleep in giving us some time to finish up.

Last night I had told her to sleep in until whatever time she wanted, and seeing her excitement to get some rest made me chuckle at the thought - she always seemed to be so tired. This morning we went for breakfast without Althea who Elise had said had been "Sleeping beauty." Apparently, that was a princess in the Muggle world that I didn't know about, all she told me was that this 'Sleeping Beauty' was a princess who slept a lot; sounds like mine.

After breakfast, Fred and I went to the kitchens and asked the house elves to make food for the party tonight which was in the Room of Requirement. We asked one in particular who was Althea's favorite to make the usual and prepare it on a platter. By now it was about 12:05 and Fred and I made our way to her dorm, knocking slightly before entering. She hadn't even woken up yet which was quite amusing, so we figured we would just look around her room until she did.

I opened the closet to see piles of clothes scattered throughout the large space, noticing that her and Elise's clothes were mixed. They had just dumped all of their clothes in the closet - Very organized.

"Hey, George look what I found!" Fred whispered, motioning me over to her trunk.

"Fred we shouldn't look through her trunk." I hushed, looking over to where she was sleeping soundly on her bed.

"She won't get mad, but look at this." He said, posing a large velvet book on one of the beds. I read the inscribed title on the plush cover, "The Family Book" Fred whispered, tracing the letters. We opened it and both started laughing, trying our best to muffle the sounds. On the first page was a 6-month-old Althea, eating a large ice cream cone.

We continued flipping the pages, seeing various pictures of Althea and her three older siblings when they were younger, one with her and her mom, and some with the 5 kids plus their mom and grandma at the beach - none with her father.

My favorite however had to be the one with Althea holding her 5 days old sister, Anaiah, for the first time. In the picture, she was 7 and she had the brightest smile I had ever seen. I could tell by the way she was holding the newborn that she was scared to break it, but she looked incandescently happy, and I couldn't help but imagine how she would be with our baby if we ever had one.

"My favorite is the one where's she's in her knickers getting pushed by her brother" Whispered Fred, "Or maybe the one where the brother, oh yeah, Ethan, is shooting her mom with a water gun. I think he might be my favorite." I understood, Ethan was the ultimate jokester as she had said, and Fred and I both secretly looked up to him even though we had never met him.

We heard her stir in her bed and quickly shoved the book back in the trunk, crouching over to her bed. Her beautiful eyes fluttered open and the first thing she mumbled was a small, "Coffee?" smelling the aromatic substance.

Fred and I used this as our chance to shout, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" Jumping out from our spot under her bed.

"Holy fuck!" She screamed, covering her eyes with her hands in fear. We both began laughing at her reaction when she hit both of us with her pillow, bringing our attention back to her. "You little-"
