Time Jump - Day before the Quidditch World Cup

"You truly believe Bulgaria is going to win?" I asked Lee incredulously as the group walked through the streets of Hogsmeade, all of us waiting in anticipation for tomorrow's events. It had been weeks and Lee was still sure that his shit team was going to win, and by now I was just surprised he hadn't caved. There was absolutely nothing that could persuade me in his favor.

He sighed dramatically, putting his arm around my shoulder as if he were that much taller than me - I had actually grown and was no longer 5'8 but 5'9 now, so he could fuck off. I was tall. "Thea, Thea, Thea. When are you going to learn?" He cried exasperatedly in a far too exaggerated manner, "Lee is always ri-"

His arm suddenly gets ripped off of my shoulders, only to be replaced with a familiar, more muscular one, "Did she ask you to touch her? I don't think I heard Althea" He emphasized my name to correct Lee's condescending use of the common nickname, "give you permission?" George questioned him menacingly, low enough to stop the others from hearing which in turn made the threat that much more apparent. Lee put his hands up in surrender, obviously afraid of his friend's quick change in demeanor.

"Hey man- it's all fun and games here." Lee, obviously flustered, defended himself. I could only imagine the glare George was giving him and was about to intervene when my eye caught sight of something.

"Guys look! They're selling flatscreens!" I shouted to everyone, pointing to the massive modern store on our far right. I slid out from under George's arm and Lee's side and ran over to the front of the massive electronics place, peering in through the glass and marveling at the sight. "Y'all wanted to go get some drinks, right? Would it be ok if I inquire about something while you head over? It'll only be a second." I pleaded my case while everyone other than George nodded, Elise shaking her head in disappointment.

"Of course! I'll get you your order loves." Angelina promised as they all began walking in the direction of the pub.

"Wait, Ang!" I called to her while fishing some money out of my pocket, "It's on me!" I handed her the bills, not trusting any of the idiots that go by the name of Fred and Lee to handle the money.

She gratefully took it after refusing a few times, but when her eyes zeroed in on what must've been the worth they widened. "No this is way too much Alth..." She began saying as I shook my head.

"Don't worry about it, just don't tell the others!" I said as I bid her off before she could oppose some more, and was now pulling George along with me into the place. I had finally accepted that he wouldn't be leaving me alone and no longer questioned him, only thanked the gods beyond every time he would stay.

"Darling, you just gave her-" He started, shocked by whatever had been given. I stopped him by kissing him slowly and passionately, tugging his hair which made him groan both in annoyance at my avoidance and pleasure.

"It's ok Georgie," I whispered to him while our foreheads touched, my cheeks warm at the sudden feelings kissing him brought within me. Turning towards the rest of the shop, I held his hand while perusing through the aisles.

We made it to a pretty secluded corner when I heard him groan, and upon looking over my shoulder, I see him looking at me lustfully, sparking an idea "I have a proposition..." I whispered to him as he walked closer, evidently interested in what I had to tell him. I couldn't help but smirk as I leaned up to his ear, "When Ireland wins tomorrow, and everyone leaves, how about we have our own little afterparty?"

His arm wrapped itself around my waist as the space between us suddenly spiked in tension. George knew better than to believe Lee's thoughtless support for Bulgaria, hence why he's never thought twice about who the winner would be. "And what do you suggest we do to celebrate?"
