Althea, babies are satanic forces plotting against you.

She just sneezed!

They are chemically designed to appeal to dumbasses like you.

Oh my god, she waved!

You'll never have them so why are you doing this to yourself?

Look at those lashesss!

I currently had two voices in my head as I held Aurora in my arms and at the moment the one getting excited over basic human reactions was overpowering.

"You're just perfect aren't you princess?" I cooed as I tickled her nose, the laugh emanating from her making me look up to George with wide amazed eyes. "Did you hear that? She just laughed Georgie!" I was now laughing as well, unable to hide the mountains of joy this little baby brought me.

He had already been watching me with eyes I couldn't discern, but my attention was mainly centered around the little bundle to take the time to decode what was going on in his head. "I did love," He chuckled, his gaze intent on me, unwilling to look away. "Quick question though, how is it possible that you obtain a baby in under two minutes. Althea Jane that has to be a record of some sort!" He began pushing the stroller as we walked towards our group of friends, and as I glanced up at him, I had to bite my lip to stop a giggle. George. The almighty scary fighter people like Theo and Fred were scared of, pushing a baby stroller.

"I saw gran in the street and while looking at Aurora she just leaves and tells me to come back here at 6:00." I was too dazed to think about just how preposterous the fact of the matter was.

"You're saying we have her all day?" He questioned as if it were the craziest thing.

I nodded and kissed her little button nose, "Yeah, but don't worry, it'll be ok. I've taken care of babies before." I kissed her soft little rosy cheeks, making her laugh once again, "You see, she's happy!"

He extended one arm that wasn't pushing the stroller around my shoulder and brought me closer, "She doesn't look like the only one that's happy does she darling?" At this, I looked up to him, but when I caught sight of those adoring eyes gazing down at the two of us, I felt blissfully happy. Could we have this one day, in the far, far future? Maybe we could have a family and start a life for ourselves; the image was dreamlike.

"Have you ever thought about having kids George?" I asked while bringing my eyes back to her; she was a sweetheart, truly. She had the chubbiest of cheeks that grew even more when she smiled, small strands of hair that would fall onto her forehead, and an innocent smile I wanted to preserve forever.

"Yes love, have you?"

My eyes darted to his and back to the street in front of me, and I thanked the gods that El, Ro, and Lee were all there. "Oh look we've found them!" I exclaimed a little too excitedly for the moment and hoped he would let it go.

I'll never have them.

I repeated the fact relentlessly in my mind, but dreaming for one day wouldn't be too bad. Besides, I'm giving her back and maybe George hasn't even questioned my avoidance of his question.

At my sudden outburst, they turned in our direction and all of their eyes widened, although Elise's shook ever so slightly as her expression flashed in sympathy. I couldn't and wouldn't dwell on what I knew she was thinking and pushed every single thought into that bursting box in my mind, looking down at the sleeping baby in my arms and erasing them completely.

"What the fuck is that?" Roya asked first, her mouth dropping open at the sight of the two of us.

"Is that a baby?" Lee sounded giddy which contrasted completely with the Gryffindor girl's reaction.
