Italics are thoughts~
James slowly woke up with a jolt. He had predicted he would be alive but it didn't make it anymore disappointing.. He shook his head, which turned out being a mistake as the throbbing resumed. His vision adjusted to his surrounding as looked around. It he was in the drop ship from before.
"Space walker strikes again!" He swerved his head to where the voice had come from. He widened his eyes. There were so many people...
The lightbulb went off in his head. These were all the prisoners he saw being marched out of their cells alongside him!
"You missed Jaha's speech, we're going to Earth. You were knocked out so bad I even thought you might be dead."The brunette girl beside him said in his ear while he looked around.
James tried to contain all of his emotions while his head was spinning. Earth isn't survivable, explains why there is prisoners here. They wouldn't take the risk of sending people.
He looked around at the different delinquents. They would for sure kill him when they landed. He was the 'psychopath' after all. They had made sure he remembered all right. James shifted uncomfortably remembering the pain he had endured before they had eventually put him in solitary.
Another shout broke him out of his trance. "Hey you two, stay in your seats if you want to live!" A blond girl said. It seemed two incredible stupid boys had followed the boy they called space walker out of his seats. They will all be goners when they enter the atmosphere, he thought.
As if on queue the ship jolted and the people floating around crashed to the floor. They had entered the atmosphere.
The brunette girl beside James let out a cry as her seat belt broke and she lurched forward almost falling out of her seat. Using all his strength he held the girl in place as his seat belt jolted him, his head hitting the wall hard again. His own seat belt had been cut, most likely courtesy of his guards, so he used his other hand and held on with all his might as the ship moved around shakily.
After one final jolt the ship stopped and he quickly retracted his hand from the girl as if she had burned him, and placed it on his head, feeling a sticky substance. Blood.
"No machine hum," a kid with goggles on his head said. James tilted his head and silently agreed. That's a first.
The blond girl that had told the two boys to stay in their seats checked their pulses. She shook her head sighing. They were dead. The blond girl breathed out in slight relief as space walker slowly stood up.
James slowly unclipped his seatbelt, glancing quickly at the brunette he had saved. She met his eyes and slightly smiled. "I owe you one," she whispered still smiling. Nobody had smiled at him in a long time.
She stuck her hand out a bit and James instincts took over as he flinched, thinking he would be slapped. It was a second before he realized she wanted him to shake it. He shook her hand gently, afraid of hurting the one person who was nice to him.
"My names Octavia," she started. James opened his mouth to speak when she hushed him "I know who you are and I think we all deserve second chances. That's why were here after all. Plus you saved me, James." She said smiling.
