"I can't get her out of my head"

Working in F1 had always been your goal in life. Of course it was just a dream as you were working as a mechanic in F4 but you hoped that one day a formula one team would recognize you and ask you to rise up to formula one. But almost everyone in the junior categories hoped that. Starting with the mechanics, engineers, parents and ending with the divers. '(Y/N) do you have a moment?' your team boss asked you. The team had a bad season because both drivers were rookies and great rivals that were crashing into each other almost every weekend. You knew about the financial problems but you never really thought about them. So you walked into the team tent together with your boss. '(Y/N), first of all thank you for your effort. It's amazing how you try to motivate everyone and I've never seen a woman as passionate for racing like you. But I think you already know that we have some financial problems. And I'm so sorry to tell you that we can't keep you as a mechanic for the next season. I'm so sorry I have to tell you this... ' You were absolutely shocked. You never thought that this could happen. But then he continued and you couldn't believe what he was telling you. 'But I have good news for you, too. Williams wants to build up a new and younger team and wants to prepare for the future with young people just as their drivers, too. So they asked me if I could ask you to think about their offer to keep you as their mechanic for at least three years. Their team boss is really impressed by your work. And they would like to invite you to the last grand prix this year in Abi Dhabi. I think this is an unique opportunity. Take it (Y/N)!' You could only nod with your head. You still couldn't believe it. You would be the new mechanic, at Williams, in F1. A dream came true.

Today was the day you were waiting for your entire life. You got a pass to enter the F1 paddock and were walking through the pit lane. You said "hello" to some people dressed in the white Williams tshirts. They all smiled at you and some of them told you that they would really look forward to working together with you. Arriving at the team hospitality, they were already waiting for you and showed you around. George, the driver, whose car you would be responsible for gave you a hug and told you that your former F4 team had been his first formula racing team ever. You had a short talk about the junior categories and your dream of working in F1 since you had been a child. They showed you the car and the this you will be doing next season.

Later, as you were walking around the paddock, dressed up with your new Williams tshirt and a cap, you didn't pay attention who was walking around the corner. You bumped into a good looking man. In the next seconds you started realizing who that man was. It wad the seven time world champion Lewis Hamilton. Your cheeks blushed and you just looked into his eyes and said 'Oh... I'm so sorry!' Damn, that driver was pretty attractive... He smiled at you and just said 'Oh no that's no problem. I can't count how many times this has already happened to me before.' You had to laugh a bit and walked back to your team hospitality. Your thoughts went crazy. You met F1 campion Lewis Hamilton and he was even talking to you?! Crazy first day in F1, you had to admit. You taught about getting friends with him or loving him, silly things only teenagers would do. You couldn't really sleep well that night because you always had to think about Lewis. On television he always seemed to be a bit ignorant but in real life you didn't have that feeling when talking to him. He was kind, because in this situation many other people would get angry.

Because you were sleeping in the same hotel as the other teams did, the first person you saw the next day was Lewis. He stood in front of the elevator together with this team boss, Toto Wolff, waiting to get in. You shook your head, this couldn't be true. You decided to hide behind the corner as you didn't know what to say. Then you heard him talking to Toto 'Sorry for asking this, I know I should focus on racing. But I bumped into a beautiful young lady yesterday and she was wearing a Williams shirt. And... I know it's silly and childish but... I can't get her out of my head.' You didn't believe your ears. Did he just mention you? Toto laughed a bit and answered him 'Lewis in love. If you ask me it's time for a new relationship. And, no I don't know her name but I think that she's the new mechanic at Williams, responsible for George's car. Frank told me they hired some promising young people working in the junior categories.' Ok, now you were sure that Lewis really mentioned you. Should you walk towards them? No you didn't want to be an easy fish to catch. If he was interested in you, he should be the one to find out your name.

You almost had forgotten your coincidental meeting with Lewis, as you started your fist working day at Williams. Lewis signed an one year contract with Mercedes, aiming for his 8th championship win. And again you bumped into someone. You were scrolling through the social media feed and didn't look at where you were going. Looking up in order to find out who that person was this time,you almost forgot breathing. It was Lewis! Again! Oh no... 'You like bumping into people, right?' he said towards you, realizing that you didn't get his joke the way he thought. You felt really uncomfortable and thought that he would be pretty annoyed of you. 'I'm sorry, no I didn't mean it this way. I was just joking. It's not bad, I'm not angry. It's just funny. By the way... What's your name?' Thankfully, he wasn't angry. 'I'm glad you're not angry now, I'm really sorry... Again.' You had to laugh now, too. 'And I'm (Y/N) the new mechanic at Williams. I'm happy to get to know you Mr. Hamilton.' Now he was the one laughing. 'I'm nice to meet you, too. But please don't call me Mr. Hamilton. I'm Lewis.' You two shook each other's hands and started talking a bit. He invited to to a coffee at the F1 driver's hospitality and you agreed after asking your team members if that was ok because you were not sure if you were allowed to spend time with people from other teams, too. Soon you got friends and had lunch together when possible. And now, after almost one year later, you  finally started a relationship.
