It was five minutes till your evening call with your best friend Pierre. It was a ritual you two had since childhood: to phone each other at 6pm every day even if you just asked if everything was alright. But today everything should change. Nothing was alright anymore. Pierre told you he had met a beautiful, intelligent and lovely girl and they would phone each other daily. On the one side you knew you should be happy about him after all the terrible things he had gone through in his life. But to be honest you were terrified, sad and jealous. Depp in your heart you have always loved Pierre but you never told him and now it was too late.

There was a unfamiliar silence between him and you after he told you he loved that girl. 'Y/N is everything okey?' No nothing was okey. But you couldn't tell him. 'Yeah... Sure Pierre. I'm really happy for both of you. You really deserve that.' It wasn't the truth and you felt like he knew it. 'Err.. thank you Y/N. I have to end our phone conversation now because my dinner is ready. Goodnight and sleep well!' You said goodnight, too and as soon as you pressed the red button on your phone, you started crying. The tears ran down your face and you couldn't stop them. Pierre was the love of your life and now you lost him.

A few days later Pierre called you again and asked you to come over to him. You were irritated he wanted you to visit him and not his girlfriend but happy, too as you saw him again. 'Hey Y/N it's so good to see you again! Come in.' 'Hi Pierre nice to see you, too!' The atmosphere was just like in the good old days and you jjoked around, did silly things and then Pierre had the idea to do that Tiktok trend called 'Kissing your best friend' but didn't tell you of course. He pretended that he just wanted to do a video of you two dancing silly moves. 'Come on Y/N please. It will be funny!' Should you do it? 'If necessary' you answered. He started the video and stood next to you as the music started. But then, instead of dancing he just looked into your eyes, came closer and put his hands on you cheeks.... And kissed you! 'Pierre! What the f...?! You have a girlfriend!' you screamed as his cheeks went red and his eyes got wide. 'Y/N... I.... I need to tell you something... The truth is that I was speaking about you the whole time... I... I thought you would feel the same way' Now you were really speechless. Everything made sense now. 'Pierre tell me honestly. Are you serious? Don't joke please!' 'No really... I've loved you since we've been kids. But a was too ashamed to tell you, Y/N'. Tears ran down your face as you hugged him. 'I love you, too Pierre. I was so afraid to have lost you to another girl.' You kissed again and spent the evening together with cooking and watching movies.
