"this is my girlfriend y/n"

Even if Callum and you were together now for more than three months, you never had the chance to meet his parents. Because of the Covid-19 restrictions, everybody who planned a travel to the UK had to be in quarantine for two weeks. That's what the both of you did. You never spent so much time in one piece with him and you were a bit nervous how it would work or if you would start quarreling. But everything went well and you had a great time and got to know each other even better.

On the last day, your thoughts started filling your head. You had doubts if his parents like you or not and how they might react. "What's up babe?" Callum asked you as he sat down next to you. "You know you can tell me everything, don't you?" he continued. "Yes I know Callum. I just think about how your parents might react. What of they don't like me? Or think I don't suit into your family?" You knew that he would say that you shouldn't think about that. But you just couldn't turn your head off. "(Y/N) my parents will love you for sure! I'm absolutely sure about that. They are so simular to me and I love you so much so why shouldn't they love you, too? Don't think about that. It won't happen. They tell me every time I write or phone them to take you with me when I'm visiting them the next time. They really look forward to see you the first time in real. It's gonna be alright, I can promise you." This calmed you down a bit again. You know started to look forward to the fist meeting even if your heart would for sure explode of nervous.

The big day was here. Callum woke you up very early and you were not really happy about it because you were a long sleeper. "Good morning (Y/N). Wake up, the sun's shining." You opened your eyes slowly, looking straight into your boyfriend's eyes. He gave you a quick kiss before he lifted you up and carried you out of the bed. You giggled a lot and he had already prepared breakfast for you before you left. On the way to his parents you couldn't sit still. You were as nervous as you had never been before. Callum tried to comfort you but it didn't really work. They one hour drive felt like a one minute trip and before you could think about it you already stood in front of the door where Callum's parents were living. You took a deep breath before Callum rang the bell. His parents were already waiting for you two so they opened the door just a few seconds later. You had to smile because they seemed to be so happy to see both of you.

"Callum! So great to see you again! I missed you!" his mother was  amost screaming. He laughed a bit and answered "Mum, dad, I missed you, too. This is my girlfriend (Y/N). You told me to take her with me so I did. I'm happy to be bach in my hometown." You looked shyly into his mother's eyes and you were pretty surprised as she gave you a warm smile, hugging you tightly as if she knew you for years and telling you: "I'm so glad Callum has you. I don't know you yet but I'm sure you have a great influence on my son. I've never seen him that happy." You thanked her and were also welcomed by Callum's father. At the end of the day you were like a part of the family and you almost missed his parents already as you drove back to your apartment.
