5 years later...

Can walked aimlessly through crowded streets with no particular destination in mind.

Heaving a deep sigh, he took a glance at his phone to see if he had any messages. So far, there hadn't been any.

The sun was at its highest at this time of the day. And there was Can, walking with an envelope in his hands. Beads of sweat fell down the side of his face.

His final pay for his previous job as a helper at a coffee shop near a university.

He was frustrated that he had to look for a job again for the nth time.

But he did not regret it when his fist landed on the face of an asshole customer who insulted his co-worker.

He looked at his fist. It was swollen. But he was glad he did that. He could've landed two or more punches if his manager did not barge in.

And like how the world worked, the customer was always right. So he got fired. Again.

It was the fourth time he got fired for punching asshole customers.

He just didn't have it in himself to let those fuckers look down on them just because they have plenty of money.

Tss.

He would just find another job.

When Can came home, a cute little girl welcomed him with a giggle. Seemed like she was running away from someone.

"Pa!" The girl giggled then reached for Can.

Can carried the girl then stood up laughing.

She was like a ball of energy. Just like Can, when he was younger.

"How was your day? Did you enjoy your day with your Uncle? Hmm?" Can asked with a smile while tickling the side of the little girl.

She laughed. How cute.

"Yes, Pa. I had fun! Uncle treat me an ice cream and then we run on the playground! Then he tickled me just like what you did that's why I was running!" the little girl replied with much enthusiasm.

Before Can could answer the little girl, another voice was heard, followed by a man smiling.

"Oh. Can, you're already here? Did this sweetie tell you that she was misbehaving?" the man told him with a hint of teasing.

Can looked at the little girl with a slightly angry look that he knew worked very well when she was misbehaving.

"Little Miss, what did you do?"

The little girl looked like she was about to cry. She looked at the other man first before turning to Can again then answered.

"No, Pa. I did not misbehave. I just told the kid in the playground to stop messing with me," the girl replied with a pout.
