"Ley, the next time someone knocked on the door, tell me first before you open it," Can reminded Ley.

Tin had been coming back and forth in their house for some time already and it was messing with his head. It seemed like the other man doesn't have any plan to leave him peacefully because no matter how many times he punched that asshole, he would still come back to their house the next day with his money-filled apology gifts.

Tin doesn't seem to get the point. Or maybe he was just keeping a blind eye to it.

He doesn't want to be affiliated with Tin anymore, saying it clear and loud in front of Tin's face. He wanted him out of his life.

"Why does Uncle Tin always comes here every day?" Ley innocently asked.

Another thing that added to his stress was Ley calling that man uncle. He already told her that she mustn't call him that but she always seemed to forget it.

"Ley, I already told you. You must not call that man your uncle. He's not. You should not approach him, and should not open up the door for him. He's a bad guy," Can explained to Ley.

Ley's eyes widened because of that.

"Why is he a bad guy? He's Ian's Dada. Ian loves him. Ian calls you uncle too. So, I should call his Dada as uncle," Ley reasoned.

Sometimes Can would just think that maybe it would be better if Ley was not a smart kid, that it would've been better if she was like Can before who was oblivious of most things. Because she always had something to say. He would sometimes think that it would've been better if she just followed him immediately without saying something that made sense in a way. He was getting more and more frustrated because of it.

"Because he made your Pa cry before," he tried to convince Ley.

"What? I don't want to call him uncle anymore. He's a bad guy if he made you cry. I don't want anyone to make you cry. Are you sad?" she innocently replied as she hugged him, rubbing his back like she was calming him. Because of that, a small smile crept into his face.

He took back what he just thought earlier that it would be better if Ley was not smart.

When she let go of Can, she was frowning like she was mad at Tin for making her Pa cry.

Can gently cupped her cheeks and smiled.
"Pa won't be sad anymore if you stay away from that man," he said.

Ley quickly nodded her head.

"I don't want you to be sad so I will stay away from him from now on," she promised.

Can felt relieved because of that. Grateful that Ley immediately understood what he wanted her to do.
