After Pete told Can that Ian was not Tin's child, they stayed quiet for a little longer. It was an awkward silence. Until Pete found his voice again and asked Can how they had been. Can said that they'd been fine and dismissed their conversation immediately. Maybe Pete had sensed the awkward atmosphere so the man didn't start another conversation again. They just stayed there while Ian and Ley continued playing with Ley's toys. As he stared longer at the kids, he felt his heart soften.

How could he be so cruel to Ley?

Ley was innocent and just a child. She should not be deprived of her childhood happiness. Ley looked towards Can's direction. Her eyes were a bright sheen. She was obviously glad that she was able to play with Ian again. Can could see how happy Ley was when she was with Ian. Their innocent laughs echoed inside their home.

It was a beautiful sight. Can realized how much he had hurt Ley when he forbade her to play with Ian. And he could also feel that Ian missed playing with Ley as well.

Ley stood up and ran towards Can, hugging him tightly. Can froze for a second before he wrapped his arm around Ley also. When he let go of Ley, there was a wide grin plastered on her cute face.

"Thank you, Pa, for allowing me to play with Ian again. I love you so much. I promise I'll be a good girl even more!" she said and sat on Can's lap. Can held Ley's waist and smiled back at her then kissed her forehead.

Ian followed not long after and also hugged Pete.

"Thank you, Daddy, for letting me play with Ley! I love you."

"Of course, sweetie. Anything for you," Pete sweetly replied as the man hugged Ian tighter.

Pete looked at Can and mouthed 'thank you.' Can did not know what to do. But he later found himself smiling back at Pete.

When Ian let go of Pete, Pete said that they should get going already because it was already late. Ian nodded his head and looked at Ley. The kids hugged each other first before they said their goodbyes.

"Let's play again tomorrow, okay? I'll bring my toys, so we can play with them. And we should invite Prince also," Ian said as they walked out the door. Pete was carrying the kid.

"Okay, I'll wait for you," Ley replied happily.

Pete turned to Can and said, "I hope you allow Ian to play with Ley again."

Can looked down at Ley first and saw her pleading eyes. He released a sigh and returned his gaze to Pete.

"I will allow them to play again."

"Thank you," Pete thanked him with a smile on his angelic face.

"But only here at our house. I don't want them to play at the playground anymore," he finished.

Pete's smile slowly disappeared as he heard Can's condition for allowing the kids to play with each other, and it was replaced by a frown.

"Why?" Pete asked. Ian also had a confused look on his face.
