Having fun with Tin alone was a different story for Can. He knew that somehow he was already getting used to seeing Tin close to him, but being happy with him was a whole new level.
It was enticing yet scary.
In the few days that he got to be with Tin, the man didn't do anything that could trigger him in any way. Tin doesn't even go near him unless it was necessary, and that was a plus point for Tin. Even if Tin kept on complaining about all the things he should do, it was all just words and a few glares. But it was still early to think that Tin already deserved his forgiveness, although he could feel that Tin was really trying to gain it.
Maybe letting himself have fun with him would open up a door for a new beginning for them. It might sound crazy, but he wanted to be friends with Tin again. Was it wrong to think that they could forget their past and start anew?
Well, he was partly stupid after all, so it was just reasonable for him.
They were walking towards the booth where Ley said that the prize was a teddy bear.
When they reached the said booth, Ley happily pointed to the bear she wanted.
"Uncle Tin, I want that one!"
The booth had balloons attached to the wall. The employee who was assigned to man the booth walked to them and asked if they wanted to play.
"How much is that teddy bear?" Tin asked the employee.
"Oh, no. It's not for sale. You have to play to win that toy," the employee politely replied.
"Can't we just pay for it?" Tin insisted.
"Hey! You have to work hard for the prize!" Can scolded Tin when he realized what Tin was trying to do, he was trying to use money to get what he wanted. "You can't just get everything you want easily."
"Fine," Tin half-heartedly agreed. "How can we have that toy?"
"You have to pop the balloons using these darts," the employee gave him three darts, "you only have three chances to pop the balloons. Each balloon had a card pinned behind it, and that card shows the prizes. Ten balloons have the bear as a prize."
Tin accepted the darts and looked at Ley. Ley looked up at him, her head bobbed up and down.
With a sigh, Tin stared at the wall where the balloons were attached. He estimated that there were fifty balloons in there. How would he be able to guess which one held the bear prize?
"What balloon should I pop?" he asked Ley.
"That one!" Ley pointed to the balloon in the upper right corner.
He threw the first dart at the said balloon and it popped. The employee walked towards it to see what the prize was and walked back to them. The card showed that the prize was just a lollipop. He threw the second and third darts but they didn't win the toy.
