Season 8

Bobbie's Point of View:

Daryl and I run up to the gate just outside the Sanctuary. He pulls the note out from his pocket, rolls it onto an arrow and loads the arrow into his crossbow. We walk along the wall of fence before we see Dwight sitting near a bike. Daryl pulls the crossbow up, aims it and fires it. The arrow hits a tire and Dwight pulls it out, reading the note Daryl wrote. Daryl taps my shoulder and I follow close behind him. We both sit down against a tree and waited for Dwight to return back to us. For five minutes, Daryl and I don't say a word. Dwight fires his arrow back and Daryl pulls the arrow from the tree, unrolling the note and reading it. He looks at me and nods. We pick up our backpacks, throw them on and run back to Alexandria.

"When I first him...Jesus said that my world was gonna get a whole lot bigger." Rick starts his speech. Everyone stood around in a circle in a large opened field with hills going up and down in the distance. This was our safe place. None of the Saviors or Negan would find us here.

"Well, we found that world. We found each other. That...'bigger world' is ours by right. That we've come together for it, all of us...it's that much more true...it's our by right. Any person who lives in peace and fairness, we would find common ground...it's their right too. But those who use and take and kill to carve out the world and make it theirs alone- we end them. We don't celebrate it. We don't have shame about it, either. There's only one person who has to die, and I will kill him myself. I will. But if it's the others...the others who prop him up, stand by his side, even those who just look the other way- so be it. Then...we keep making the world bigger. Together."

"Together." Ezekiel steps in. Bound forever! To quote the Bard, 'For he today that sheds blood with me shall be my brother.'" He smiles at Rick. "For she today...my sister." He smiles at Maggie, grabbing her hand.

"We've practiced. We've been through it over and over again. We all know the plan doesn't end this morning. That we may have to live in uncertainty for days, maybe more. That we have to keep our faith in each other. If we can hold onto everything we have, the future is ours. The world is ours." Daryl and I look at each other and we nod. I turn my head and look at Rick, seeing him nodding his head at Daryl and I.

"We're gonna win this." Daryl utters.

"We will." I tell him. He grabs my hand and gives it a squeeze.

"You all know the plan. Stick to it unless I say anything different." Rick says. "We're gonna win this. This is for us. Fight for whoever you want. Yourself. The loved ones who didn't make it this far. Fight for...God, if you're a believer. For for us. Fight for anything you want. We're gonna win. We will win."

The cars covered with metal sheets as armor lined up at the gates. In thirty minutes, we were about to get to the sanctuary and begin war. Whether Negan prepared for it or not, we are gonna end this, we are gonna win.

"Got everything you need?" Daryl approaches me. I nodded my head and look at him. "Just...remember. If you're ever in trouble, use that whistle. Everyone knows if they hear a whistle around them, they know who it's about." He says. I let out an airy laugh and shook my head. Daryl falls confused and he shakes his head.

"What's so funny?" He asks. I slowly stop laughing, pull my head back and look up at the sky.

"I can't speak. We all know this. But I'm not deaf either." I tell him.
