M U T E D
Season 6
Daryl's Plint of View:
I sat outside on the ground, cleanin up my bike. I wanted to make sure everything was okay, since asshole decided to wreck the hell out of it. It ain't damaged too bad, but it'll need some fixin. Lucky for me, Aaron still got thousands of bike parts in his garage. I usually keep it in there since the garage at Rick's place is sorta full of other things. Besides the point, I don't wanna move thousands and thousands of bike pieces into another garage.
I opened a fanny-pack and unzipped it, looking inside. I picked it up and see a wooden military toy thing. It reminded me of Dwight, making that wooden thing. I drop the toy in annoyance.
Didn't even notice. Got your bike back." Carol approaches me.
"Yeah." I glance at her, seeing a cigarette lit between her fingers. Seein Carol smokin made me feel the urge to smoke. If B hears me smokin, sure she'll understand. "You got another one of those?" I ask Carol as I pulled myself up and leaned on the stairs of Aaron's house. She opens the pack and allows me to take one, then hands me the lighter.
"Thanks." I say and began lighting the cigarette.
"Those people you met, the ones in the burnt forest, they took it from you?" She asks, referring to my bike.
"Yeah." I nod.
"You saved them, right?" She asks. I did, and it was a mistake. Shouldn't have done that. Assholes. "Sorry. It's who you are. We're still stuck with that." Carol utters.
"No, we ain't." I shake my head. I should've killed 'em." I say. Carol lightly pats my side and stands up. "Aye, those people that took you and Maggie...what'd they do to you?" I ask.
"To us? They didn't do anything." She says and walks away. After I finished with the cigarette and the bike, I put it back in the garage and walked to the infirmary. I see Denise standing by a table and writing shit down.
"How she doin?" I ask.
"She's doing okay. She spiked a fever last night-"
"She what?"
"I got it down. I gave her some meds, she's doing okay." She assured me. I walk into the room and see B still sleeping. "She ain't wake up, yet?" I ask Denise who followed me into the room.
"No, she hasn't." She shakes her head. I let out a sigh and sat myself down beside the bed. I grabbed B's hand and held it in mines, feeling the warmth. Somethin that wasn't like that before.
"You know...I hear some stuff...about people being in a coma?" Denise says. I turn and look at her. "You can talk to them."
"They can't hear." I say.
"We don't know for sure, but it helps the person..." she says. I took note of her...story, whatever the hell it was and looked down at B. I let out a sigh, trynna think of anything I could say to her. I realized I didn't hear Denise walk out the room yet. I ain't talkin with her in here. It's...weird.
"Say something. Maybe it'll help." Denise says. I huff out a breath of air and turn back to B.
"I miss you. I do. I wish you were..." I sucked air through my teeth in annoyance. "This is stupid." I shake my head and stood up.
