Season 1

Bobbie's Point of View:

"Whoa, whoa." He says. It's alright. Nobody ain't gonna hurt you here. Why don't we lower our weapons."

The man lowers his gun, but i remained frozen. After staring him down for a minute, I lower the bat. He huffs out a smile and nods his head.

"Okay. Now that we know nobody ain't gonna hurt you, why don't we start off with your name?" He asks. He then realizes the white bandage over my throat and he takes a step back.

"What's your wound there?" He asks. How should I explain this to him. He doesn't seem like he knows how to speak sign language. I decided to take my index finger and draw a line right across my across.

"Did somebody do that to you?" He asks. I shake my head. "You were born that way? Surgery?" I nod. He lightly chuckles.

"A mute." He utters. I furrow my brows. I've had a recent surgery, but that doesn't mean it may not work...((A/N: you might get confused here, but continue reading and you'll know the secret))

"Well, I'll just call you Mute until we figure a way to know your name. I'm Shane Walsh- Officer Shane Walsh." An officer. Maybe he'll know something about what's happening and when it'll end. "Well, not an officer anymore. Guess it doesn't matter now with the world we live in." He says. I tilt my head to the side.

"Is it just you here? I don't see anybody else here with you." He looks around. I shake my head. "You're alone. Okay. If you had kept walking straight ahead, you would've run right into our camp. I'd like to take you back to my camp if you'd like. There are others, kids, teens, families...not just me. With your condition, I think it's best you'd stick with a group. How's that sound?" New people? I won't be alone anymore. Maybe being in a group could possibly work. I'll have someone to watch my back and I'll be okay...hopefully.

I finally nod my head, agreeing with Shane to follow him back to his group. He smiles and nods his head.

"Alright! Well let's get goin. It'll be dark soon." He says and leads the way. On our way there, we didn't say much. Mostly because I, myself, couldn't say anything at all. But Shane gave me some information about the group I'm about to join. I wish I could use my voice.

"Here we are." Shane stops at a wall of branches before he pulls a thick brand down, and reveals the camp. I look with my eyes, seeing how the camp is set up. Everyone seems like they've been here for more than a week. They've got tents, fire pits with lawn chairs all around, everything! Their literal camp.

"It's not much, but it's enough." Shane says and walks out into the open. "Alright ya'll! New comer!" He announces to his people. Everyone stops what their doing and they make their way towards Shane and I. I felt a little scared, thinking their all about to kill me. Why did I trust him so easily? I don't trust people too much, and yet, I trust a man to take me back to his camp with a group of people?

Shane notices me hiding in the bushes and he furrows his brows down.

"Hey, hey. It's okay, Mute. It's okay. Nobody's gonna hurt you. We're all good people here." He says.

"Mute?" A tall, skinny woman asks. She's got a little boy held up against her body and under her arms as she stares at Shane in confusion. Shane, on the other hand, wipes his face awkwardly and nods.
