Season 1

Bobbie's Point of View:

"I'm going back."

It's later in the day. Daryl was still pissed as all hell, and he wouldn't talk to anybody as he, himself, prepare to leave. Eventually, Rick walks out of his tent and he's wearing his sherif uniform again. I follow him with my eyes and I see him continue to get ready. Shane walks over to Rick and they begin talking.

"So that's it, huh? You're just gonna walk off? Just to hell with everybody else?" Shane asks.

"I'm not saying to hell with anybody...not you, Shane." Rick defends.

"Lori least of all. Tell her that." Shane says. Rick glances at Lori, who sat directly next to me.

"She knows." He says.

"Well, look, I...I don't. Okay, Rick? So could you just...could you throw me a bone here, man? Could you just tell me why? Why would you risk your life for a douchebag like Merle Dixon?" Shane growls.

"Aye. Choose your words more carefully." Daryl buds in.

"No, I did. Douchebags what I meant. Merle Dixon...The guy wouldn't give you a glass of water if you were dyin of thirst." Shane growls.

"What he would or wouldn't do doesn't interest me. I can't let a man die of thirst...me. Thirst and exposure. We left him like an animal caught in a trap. That's no way for anything to die like that, let alone a human being." Rick defends.

"So you and Daryl, that's your big plan?" Lori finally speaks up. Rick turns his head from Lori and he looks over to Glenn. It takes a moment for Glenn to realize what Rick is asking and his face scrunches up.

"Oh, come on." He groans.

"You know the way, you've been there before...in and out, no problem. You said so yourself. It's not fair of me to ask...I know that. But I'd feel a lot better with you along. I know she would too." Rick talks to Glenn.

"That's just great. Now, you're gonna risk three men, huh?" Shane growls.

"Four." T-Dog speaks out. Daryl scoffs.

"My day just gets better and better, don't it?" He asks himself.

"You see anybody else here stepping up to save your brothers cracker ass?" T-Dog asks Daryl.

"Why you?" He asks.

"You wouldn't even begin to understand. You don't speak my language." T-Dog shakes his head.

"That's four." Dale announces.

"It's not just four. You're putting every single one of us at risk. Just know that, Rick. Come on, you saw that walker. It was here! It was in camp! They're moving out of the cities. They come back, we need every able body we've got. We need 'em here. We need 'em to protect camp." Shane argues. I could tell Shane was pretty worked up over walkers crashing into camp. But apart of me thinks he doesn't even like Merle and would rather keep him in Atlanta. I'm with Rick, leaving a human, an animal, anything living cuffed to a roof and die of thirst and exposure, it's not right. But Shane, he has a point. What if one is a sign that more is coming? One doesn't show up, more will come. I'm not exactly the best shot around here, all of the women here are pretty useless as they all do is laundry and cook for everyone. I think everyone should know how to learn how to protect camp, each other. It's important everyone knows how. That way at least one of us will go down fighting.
