Three months later: Rory's POV:

It has been really hard since we lost our daughter but after Tristan and I talked that night things have gotten better. We are a family once again and I am slowly getting better with the loss of Makayla.

Tristan and I are making love regularly and we have our date nights. Sometimes his parents or mom watches him and others times we just stay home and have our date night after Michael goes to sleep.

Logan really stepped up when we lost our daughter. He came over with the guys every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday they were all at our house making sure we were doing okay. They all paid for the funeral services and had all meals delivered for three weeks to our house. They even made sure there was always food that Michael could eat.

Michael really likes Logan and Finn. They play in the yard with him every time they come over. We are all getting along really well. Logan has apologized to me and Tris for his behavior and is now pretty good friends with Tristan.

They even played golf earlier this week. So, things are looking up for our family. I finally lost the bump from the baby. I gained back to a healthy weight and there are no signs around our house that she even existed, but she did.

She grew inside of me for almost four months. The procedure was a little painful but not as painful as birth. It was quick and over. It's funny how someone's presence was wiped away so quickly.

Tristan and I have decided to try again after Michael's second birthday for another baby. We have talked with Dr. Adams about how to prevent another miscarriage at my age.

I slowly climb out of bed and go to the bathroom. I strip my clothes off and turn the shower on. This is how I hide how I am feeling from Tristan. I am better but I still miss her.

Once I finish in the shower I get dressed for the day. I go to Michael's room and sit in the rocker just listening to him breathe. Until he starts moving around and I know he is waking up. I walk over to the crib and watch him as he slowly opens his beautiful green eyes like his dad's.

He smiles up at me when he sees me looking at him. "Hi, mommy."

"Hello, my handsome boy. Are you ready to get up and get dried?"

He has been working on potty training and he is almost there. We have moved up to pull-ups now and are done with diapers. He drinks out of his sippy cup full time and has no more pacifier.

He is growing up so fast and that is so hard for me to imagine. He will be two in five months. He is walking and talking. He has a lot of teeth now, can count to five, and say his ABCs. So he is doing really well for his age.

I love nothing more than our morning rituals. He still needs us and I will be here as long as he needs me and even when he doesn't.

"Yes, mommy. I need to go to the potty."

"Okay, let's go potty." I picked him up and carried him to his bathroom. He tinkled and then washed his hands. I put the toothpaste on his toothbrush. He brushed his teeth. I checked his pull-up and it was completely dry.

"Great job Michael. You didn't pee in your pull-up all night and went to the potty first thing this morning. For that, you earned three stickers and a small pack of M&M's after breakfast. You almost have enough stickers to trade it in for a prize. Three more stickers to go."

"Yippie, mommy. I a big boy now. I stayed dry all night and went to the potty like a big boy. Three stickers and I get a prize. I am so glad I can't wait for my prize. Where's daddy? I need to tell him the good news."

"Mommy decided she would let daddy sleep in today for a little bit. We can make breakfast and then wake daddy up. Daddy deserves to be treated today."

"Okay, mommy. Yes, daddy deserves to get treats because he is such a good daddy."
