June 6, 2019, Michael's 2nd Birthday:
Rory and Tristan are trying to get everything in order. The guests will start arriving in about twenty minutes. The guys had all come over early to help them get everything finished.
Logan and Robert were hanging up balloons, while Colin and Finn were hanging streamers. Sookie had just arrived and was setting up the food. Lorelai and Luke were helping wherever they were needed.
Rory was chasing Michael around to get him changed. He was laughing and running from her. "Tristan please grab your son, so I can put his outfit on."
Michael came running around the corner and Tristan grabbed him up mid-run. "Where are you going little man? Mommy needs you to go upstairs with her so you can put on your birthday outfit."
"I was having fun running from mommy. She was making me laugh when she was chasing me. I thought we were playing. I'm sorry daddy I didn't mean to get mommy upset."
"It's fine buddy, but let's go upstairs and put your new outfit on. Once all the guests arrive you can go outside and play with your Uncles Logan, Colin, Robert, and Finn."
"Okay daddy, come on mommy let's go to my room. I am sorry mommy I thought we were playing."
"It's okay baby, and no I wasn't playing but it was fun at least for you. Are you ready for your party? You get to see grandma Emily and Francine, and papa Chris, aunt Gigi, and Aunt Paris."
"Yes, I can't wait to open my presents and to jump in the bouncy house with Steve and Kwan. I also can't wait for cotton candy I am going to eat so much cotton candy."
"Well you can have some but not too much I don't want you getting sick. You can have some at the beginning and the end of the party. Right daddy?"
"That's right mommy we don't want our birthday boy sick after his party. Are you excited about going to Lake Compounce next weekend?"
"Yes, I can't wait for that Uncle Robert and Logan said we are going to have so much fun. I like all of my uncles but mommy and uncle Logan don't get along well. Why?"
"Well, buddy that is a story for another day. I think Aunt Paris is really excited about your sleepover tonight."
"Me too I can't wait to go play with Gabby and Tim. I hope you will be okay while I'm gone?"
"Yes, we will be fine buddy."
They washed him up and changed him. Rory had packed his bag for the three days he was staying with Paris and Doyle he had flown in to visit with the kids they still haven't completely reconciled.
"Alright, little man you are handsome and ready for your party. Let's go back downstairs. Remember what mommy and daddy taught you we will stand at the door and welcome all the guests. Once everyone has arrived then you can go outside and play with your uncles."
"Yes, sir. We got this we are the Dugrays."
"Yes, we are son." Tristan said as he smiled at his son who was growing up way too fast."
They all walked downstairs just as the doorbell rang. They stood in a line and began greeting their guests. Everyone loved Michael as he stood there, shook their hands, and welcomed them.
Shira and Mitchum arrived and of course, Shira was snooty as always. "Hello, Rory, Tristan, and little Michael. You sure are growing up and getting so big. We hear our son has been hanging out here a lot from his wife who isn't too happy about that."
"Yes, he has he is here now and that isn't really our issue that is between him and Odette. He and Tristan have become really good friends."
"Who is Dette mommy?"
