I arrive back home. I walk into the house and yell for mom. "Hey mom, are you here?"

"In the kitchen. You are home early I wasn't expecting you back until next week. What happened? Did you and Paris have a fight?"

"Actually no we didn't. I do have some news for you. I hope you will be happy for me."

"I am listening, Did one of the interviews make an offer?"

"Not yet. I ran into a friend from Chilton and he has asked me to move in with him as a roommate all I have to do is supply the groceries and do the shopping. It will give me independence and allow you and Luke to have the house without me since you are getting married in a couple of months."

"Rory, you don't have to move out to give us space. I know you aren't happy with the way your life has gone. The fact you don't have a job and a home of your own. Who is this Chilton person that has agreed to let you move in for only groceries and to do the shopping? Wait a minute did you say he?"

"Um, yes I did say he, and It's Tristan better known as Bible Boy or Spawn of satan. I literally ran into him in Central Park because I was so lost in my thoughts of how sucky my life is and wasn't paying attention and he almost ran over me."

"Really Rory? You haven't seen him in years and he made school hell for you. Why in the world would you even consider this?"

"He offered and mom he has changed. He is a counselor he has his Master's and is going to Columbia for his Ph.D. now. He is not the same annoying boy he was in high school. He is really nice and he is trying to help me out. I am moving in with him this weekend. I hope you can be happy that I am trying to be independent."

"Rory sweets. You aren't being independent you are depending on him. He is offering you a place to live and all you have to pay for is groceries and take care of the shopping. Therefore he is supporting you. What is he going to want or expect in return?"

"Mom, why do you always have to be so negative?"

"I was really hoping you would be happy for me. I guess I was hoping for too much. I will come in and continue to get the Gazette out for the few weeks but after that, I will be staying in New York City. Is it okay if I stay here or in the apartment above the diner when I come in to get the paper done?"

"I am not trying to be negative. I am glad you will still be doing the paper and of course, you can stay here or at the apartment whichever one you prefer. You will be here for my wedding right?"

"Of course mom, I wouldn't miss your wedding for nothing. Will you please be kind to Tristan when he comes to help load my stuff on Saturday?"

"No promises kid but I will try my best. Do you need help packing?"

"That would be nice. Luckily most of my stuff is packed up at everyone's houses that I sent them to. I need to collect them from grandma's, Lane's, Paris's, and Logan's. Crap I forgot I sent some to Logan's I guess I need to get him to send those back to me."

"When did you send boxes to Logan's? Oh, that's right he was Dee Dee. Completely slipped my mind."

"I ended things with Logan, mom. I told you that and I meant it. I haven't even answered his calls or his texts. I guess I need to see if he can send my stuff to me tho."

Rory and Lorelai started packing her room she had eight boxes of books. She went around and gathered all her boxes from Lane's and her grandma's. She would get her boxes from Paris's after she moved in at Tristan's.

She sat down and held her phone. She had typed the message six times and kept deleting it. Finally, she typed it out and hit send.

Hey Logan I need a favor. I forgot you still have those two boxes I sent you when I moved from my apartment in Brooklyn. Is there a way you can send them to me? You can send them to mom's house. Thank you and sorry to bother you. Rory
