Two and a half weeks later:

So, Rory and Lorelai pulled up outside the home in Hartford and Lorelai just stood and looked at their massive home. She was looking at the house like it was a museum.

"I thought you said it wasn't a huge house. Kid, this house is ginormous. I mean it is nice but it is huge look at that door. You have two houses that are conjoined."

"Mom, I told you it had seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, two offices, a study, a rec room, a tavern for the guys, three dining areas, three living room spaces, and a wine cellar. As well as a three-car garage it's almost five thousand square feet of living space. Did you think with all those rooms it would be small? It's  not a mansion and I liked the rustic feel and look."

"I know kid I just wasn't expecting two separate houses like that. It is nice and not as scary as either of your grandmother's mansions. I do like the rustic look from the outside it looks like a barn. Let's go take a look inside."

Rory walked to the door and unlocked it with the keys the realtor had given them yesterday. They were allowed to order the furniture for the rooms and set the delivery date for Monday. They would sign all the papers and it would officially be their home.

They walked inside and Lorelai just stared at the huge ceiling and the staircase. "Wow, Kid this is really nice and I really love the homey feel it has when we walked inside. Just curious but do you really need a home this big? I mean you are only expecting one kid right?"

"Yes, mom we are only pregnant with one kid but in the future, we will want more kids maybe one or two more. There will be room for you, Luke, and grandma to visit. Plus, the guys can stay over when they visit."

"It is your house and you have to live in and clean it so if you like it then so do I. Now, let's shop for furniture."

They walked to each room and ordered furniture as Rory and Lorelai measured the space available. Three hours later they had finally gotten all the furniture ordered. Rory was tired and needed to sit down. They had ordered the furniture for every room and now all they had to do was pick out mattress sets.

Her grandmother had already told her that she would send her, her grandfather's desk from his study and was a little upset that Rory didn't want their home. It would just be too hard for Rory to live there and Tristan explained that to Emily.

"Can we go now, mom? I really need to sit down and rest. This was too much walking and standing on my feet being I am six months pregnant now."

"Yes, we can go sweets. We can grab lunch at Luke's before you head back to your wonderful husband. You know I wasn't happy when you decided to move out with him and I really wasn't happy when you started dating him but I do know he loves you and my grandchild and he makes you happy. As long as he continues then he will be good in my book."

"Mom, I know you weren't happy with me dating Tristan but he is really good to me. I mean sometimes he's much better than I deserve. He is kind and thoughtful every single day. I am really happy and I love him so much."

"I can see that from both of you kid. It is his job to treat you like a queen. You deserve that and more sweets. Never think you don't deserve the way he treats you because you do."

"Thanks. mom."She smiled and sat back and enjoyed the ride back to Stars Hollow. She had her hand laid on her stomach. They would be moving at the end of next month so in like six weeks. Tristan and the guys were coming up this weekend to fix the baby's nursery. Mom had booked all of us rooms at the Dragonfly.

They walked into Luke's and sat down. He walked over and kissed Lorelai. "Did you ladies get everything done at the new house?"

"Yes, we got all the food ordered and it will be delivered on Monday."
